My doc's office thinks I am crazy!

I know my nurse thinks I am crazy but I really want to rent one of those baby heartbeat monitors. Last night I woke up and didn't feel the baby move. So I stayed up for an hour trying to get the baby to move and thinking that something was wrong. My mind takes me to the stories of the mothers on this board who have had a still born birth and I start to flip out!!! I know that if I had a monitor I could just put my mind at ease. I have never been this far along (or even close) so how do they know that won't happen to me??

I know I sound crazy but I know to much... and I know that it does happen and that I am not crazy.

I have called many of the med supply companies and they don't even rent them. Any thoughts? I only have a week to go so I don't want to buy one.

Babybeat.com is a place you can rent one by the month. I think they might priority mail it if you requested it and paid for shipping.

That is where I got mine, being a weekend though you may not get it until Monday or Tuesday. I'm sorry you are worried sweetie.

I hope Eve has one you can use. I know how nerve wracking it is. I don't think you are crazy at all. So what if you are near the end.. doesn't make a bit of difference! I went in just a few weeks ago to get a NST because I hadn't felt the baby move and couldn't pick up the heartbeat.. all was okay but I felt so much better going in and checking things out. Update us and let us know all is okay.
