Okay ladies here is my question. DH and I have been bickering about it.
When you have a boy baby, do you need a boy themed diaper bag. I mean its not like the baby is carrying it right? So, is it weird to have a bag say with pink or flowers on it if you have a boy??? Cant wait to hear your opinions.

Need advice about diaper bags

I have two boys. My current two diaper bags are Vera Bradley bags. One is a purplish color bag with a paisley pattern. The other is blue/green with blue and green daisies on it. I have had some solid color skip hop diaper bags along the way as well. I figure I carry the bag 99.9% of the time, that it is my right to have something a bit girly. I'm not sure I would get a pink bag with pink flowers for a boy, but I don't think you have to pick a boy themed bag either.

This will be interesting to see how it pans out. That never occurred to me ever that I might want to match my bag to my baby's gender. Baby's a girl anyway so it's getting whatever I think is nice, but still, it's an interesting question.

I'm going a little more gender neutral (which I guess usually means BOYISH!). I figure DH will probably need to take the boys sometimes too, so may as well have it be something he could grab and not feel too awkward carrying also!

I appreciate the comments and opinions so far. Not that it helps the dumb argument with DH.. LOL At least I know I am not off my rocker

What started it all is that I found a cute LeSportSac back pack in black and white a small flower and bow print. I think it isnt going to hurt the little guy one bit. And because I am nursing, the odds of DH taking Will anywhere alone are slim, besides when we are out together, he usually carries the car seat cause Will is a lardo so that leaves me to carry the bag.
I am calling this a win, at least in my book.
But still would like to hear other comments.

We don't know what we're having yet but I already picked out my diaper bag to be exactly what I want to carry around. This is the one I picked out on my registry (I realize it isn't the shoulder diaper bag - I still haven't found one yet though I imagine it'll probably be a light green/brown to match the swing, stroller, car seat and port a crib that we're getting which my sister gave me the swing and port a crib which she used for her boys but I'll be just as happy using them for a girl.
I guess light green/brown are pretty gender neutral but mostly I just really like those colors so it never crossed my mind to get anything else.12 months TTC w/known donor BFN. No estrogen

Pangolin, that fabric is GORGEOUS! Where is that from?
We went with a black Skip Hop. I agree the bag is technically the mother's, but I think people have come to associate pink diaper bag with a girl and blue with a boy. Strange, but true.Married 2007, began TTC shortly after...things weren't working!

Kim - I found it on Amazon but it is the Planet Wise Diaper Wet Bag, they also have wet/dry bags in the same style. We're planning on doing cloth diapers so having these bags is pretty much essential. We talked it over with some friends that have done cloth and have decided to go the dual route where at home we use cloth but on the road or staying with family we'll use disposable. Most of our cloth diaper friends use cloth no matter what but it sounds like it is a HUGE hassle and lets be realistic, if I leave baby with MIL I really don't expect her to deal with properly caring for our cloth diapers just so we can go to dinner and a movie and not spend the $30 on a box of disposables.

...is there anyone that can give advice on a good diapr bag for twins? We have started looking in stores and online...but not seeing anything I am overly impressed with. I saw a cute one, that I thought would hold a good amount of stuff, however the retail on the bag was way over $200...and I wasn't in love with it. Thanks in advance! =)

Angel- I have been thinking a lot about your dilemma. Just from my experience, and I only have one, I am thinking you will be fine with a regular bag for both of them. At the beginning, I took a separate little cooler bag for bottles (before we got the b-feeding down) and just kept a couple extra diapers in the car for just in case. But I can put 7 diapers, a travel size box of wipes, two outfits, 5-6 toys, burp rag, extra blanket, small meds (tylenol, mylicon, teething tabs, diaper cream and powder) small bowl of food, spoon, bib, a few diaper disposal bags, and my coupon book in my bag. Now mind you, it is on the bigger side, but not any bigger than most, just not a small one. At the beginning, I also kept my wallet and small bag of personals for myself in there. it is pretty heavy, but there is room for more if needed.
But I will ask SC-Stargazer to chime in as well. She has had two sets of twins herself.
