Hailey - Honestly, even I would wait. You can't see much right now, if anything. You really may end up causing yourself a lot of unneeded stress. Mine isn't till the 29th, so I know how hard it is to wait. But, I would wait.

AFM - I'm turning my computer off and focusing on cleaning my house. I feel like this progesterone thing and this feeling that I'm about to bleed is really consuming me and taking over and I can't focus on anything. But, I really need to. I did read some positive stories online of dropping progesterone that turned out fine after they started the PIO. I'm going to focus on that and on my good rising beta and crazy dark test that I just took and try to something done. We'll see how it goes. LOL.

LOL. Sorry about the typo. Breastfeed DS..NOT DH!!! Although sometimes all husbands do seem like children...HeeHee

Rbaby-I go to Las Vegas in April for a conference. Too bad it wasn't at the same time as yours. We could have gotten together for a drink...non-alcoholic of course!

Stargazer-Good luck with the POI shot. I use Ice, then a heating pad. I take the weight off the leg on the side where the shot is being given and to distract myself I wiggle my toes on the other side (where the shot is not going in) so I don't feel much pain. I do feel bruised afterwards and have weird lumpy bumpy areas from the shots.

Emily - Do not stress about delivering your twins just yet. Just look up to Stargazer as the know it all on twins! There are plenty of women that deliver twins vaginally. My twins were both head down until 2 weeks before delivery. Baby A flipped frank breech and I ended up with a C-section. I was scared as heck, but it wasn't bad and in fact I asked for a repeat section my next delivery because I liked the recovery better.

Sheri - Your beta is awesome!! CONGRATS!!

Chitown - Welcome officially to this group!! My hubby wants me to ask you if you are a Bears fan (he is a huge Bears fan, even though we live in 49er country!)

Stargazer - You are in my thoughts and prayers. The PIO isn't bad at all. I also have my husband do it most days. The needle is so thin that most days I don't feel it at all. Hang in there.

Vegan - Fantastic news on your u/s!!! That is a great heart rate for baby.

Castleterri - I was mad at DH this weekend and decided I was going to give myself the PIO shot on Sat night. I did it and all was fine until the next morning when I woke up to a golf ball size knot on my behind! Giving yourself the shot can definitely be done, but I think I will have DH do it for me from now on.

Lonestar - Your beta sounds good to me too! Of course, we always want more, but really I think everything is ok.

AFM - Spotting is gone again. I had my intralipid infusion done today. Have another beta tomorrow. Not feeling much of anything today. Ultrasound is officially scheduled for 2/23. I will be 6wks 2days.

    Hi ladies,

Thank you all for your encouraging words last Friday, it did help me but I think I might be down in the dumps again… I took a break this weekend and went to my retreat.. it was nice.. and we did group prayers and I prayed for us all. If you recalled, I was really bummed about my beta.. I requested another one today and it doesn’t seem that much better..  Now I have to wait until Friday for an ultrasound and beta again.

    What do you ladies think?
8dp5dt: 292 (I guess this seemed really high and I was super excited)
    10dp5dt: 557 (double would have been 584)
    13dp5dt: 1488 (double 557, then 1.5 times would have been 1671 for 3 days) but it’s only at 1488….

What do you think? My progesterone they didn’t test today b/c they said Friday’s the numbers were looking great… prog: 350, estradiol: 2,885. I wish they tested these 2 today to see if there was any wacky going on! I’m wondering if I had multiples and then loss one?

Sorry, I’ve been trying to catch up and sneak on and off during work time to but barely am finishing up on the other January cycle thread.. imagine this. I’m in my office… got the blinds turned down, door barely cracked open… hiding my iphone behind my computer AND reading the small print on my iphone since the company doesn’t like us going on other sites during work time! Too many distractions but I was able to get through some… sorry if I missed some but I think I have most for now.

TTCinHawaii – beta 35 at 9dp3dt, hope things are doubling and strong!

JJ – HPT faint line. Thanks for your prayers… my next after today is Friday with ultrasound. Beta 2/14/12!! Good luck!

Mddo – Thanks for the reply on your RE stating it’s ok with as long as it’s 50%.. I guess I just want a solid doubling to lessen my worries!

So excited – FET in March (5-9 weeks from 2/10/12) – best to you! Hope the wait goes by quickly!

2ofkind – YAY on HPT line. Work stress (or any stress) is tough… Hope your prog levels are great so you can choose when you FET. Whatever you can to minimize stress is always good! Thinks has mild OHSS (2/12/12) nauseous but good sign! Beta 2/14/12. Good luck!

Steph – Happy you saw a sac yay! Yes.. what mddo says is true! You might see another sac later b/c of it’s position 

Lonestarrose – Bday 2/13, saw wicked for Bday. Such as sweet DH for the Bday cards!!!

Angel – I’m tired often too!! And SUPER HUNGRY!

Kime – NO POAS, Beta 2/14/12? Good job with the will power!! I am proud of you!

Emme – night owl and not morning personm me too! I LOVE crab!! Had cravings this weekend. I’m also craving salty foods like chips!!! And I DID have chips at my retreat! DORITOSmmmmmmmmm

Sara – beta on 2/11/12 – How are you?

    May – beta doubled! YAY!!

Stargazer – I think it’s amazing you have 2 sets of twins already! hope you get another! I’m so sorry to hear about your numbers looking wacky.. praying for you and the PIO and that you don’t get AF!

Chitown – beta doubled and u/s next Monday! Congrats!

    Hailey – beta doubled, Congrats!

Sheri – beta on 2/13/12, YAY 1044 is awesome!!

    rbaby - how are you?

Vegan - I've heard that breastfeeding is a challenge and that baffled me since I thought it would be a very natural thing but it does seem like most people have difficulty with it. It's really interesting reading about all of your experiences, so thanks ! It makes me feel more prepared for what is to come. Yay for seeing the heartbeat !! I'm totally in love. 131 BPM is perfect ! Did you get an ultrasound picture, as well ? I forgot to post mine up.

Stargazer - I am so sorry to hear about the dropping progesterone but I don't think it's time to give up hope. I also have a very distinct pre-AF .. I don't know what to call it .. contraction ? Shooting vaginal spark ? but I have felt it a few times during this cycle. I hope that the PIO does the trick and that there will be no bleeding before then ! It would be really difficult for me too to do a protocol I haven't used before when I'm feeling low, and I'm sending you lots of positive thoughts. Thank you for all your comforting words too about twins. I can't believe you were in labor for 44 hours ! It didn't scare me but it really impressed me ! How do you know if you're picking a good OB ?

mddo - HAHA I'm glad you weren't breastfeeding DH for 14 months (he might be sad, though). I wonder what it tastes like ? I'm glad to hear that you could still move around after a C-section. I just have horrible images of my lap running through my head every time I think about a C-section. I do hear that your brain releases chemicals to help you forget the trauma of childbirth so I hope that kicks in quickly ! :p

rbaby - I went onto Motherhood's website after I read your last post and bought two pairs of pants (well, DH did). I had a hard time deciding what size I was so I went with the bigger size .. I can't wait to get into some comfortable pants. DH dug out an old pair of dressy sweats from somewhere and washed them last night so I have them on today and I am in heaven !! I've been sitting at work with my buttons unbuttoned for like the past week.

Sheri - What a great beat number !! Wow, it is so high. Your beta on the 20th is going to be enormous and it's really exciting that you get to have an ultrasound ten days later ! That sounds so fast to me.

castlerri - I totally cracked up when you said, "OMG hooker" to Sheri. Something weird happened to me in the past two days .. I've been feeling kind of .. off .. and not hungry at all, but I still eat because I don't want to end up feeling nauseous. I'm almost tempted to go get some preggie pops or something because I just feel weird. After I eat, though, I do feel a little bit better, so who knows what it is ? I'm loving my saltine crackers right now. Oh man, so sad about your speeding ticket !

lonestar - I think your betas are still good ! They say if you increase by 60% then it's all good and you're in that range. I wouldn't worry about it not exactly doubling since we have so many betas in different ranges. I'm sure on betabase.info your numbers would still be in the second highest range or so.

Hailey - The other ladies have already said that you add two weeks on to your actual weeks and it's kind of cool because it means that when we find out we're pregnant that we're already like four or five weeks along ! Yes, I have definitely had it where the test line is darker than the control line, and that's a really good sign. It means that your test line is so strong that it's sapping dye from the control line. I would wait on the u/s as well. You will most likely not see much, if anything at this point, and there's no point in freaking yourself out. You know I'm super impatient so I'm usually the one jumping the gun at everything, but that was one decision I chose to stick out.

Yolanta - I'm sorry to hear that you're spotting again. What is up with that ! Hopefully your beta will make you feel better tomorrow.

purplyn - I'm eating chips now as I type .. but now I want Doritos, not these no name company made chips !! (We're really geeky and we're a tech company that sells computer chips so we make our own chips and bag them in bags that have our product numbers on them, haha !). Actually, I really want some hard candy to suck on. I wonder if that'll take me out of the funk I've been in. I'm glad to hear you had a good weekend. I think your betas are still climbing and by quite a bit and that you're still okay. They just want your beta to double between 48-72 hours and you fall well into that range.

AFM - I had a major freakout last night. I think the excitement is slowly wearing off and the fear and reality is slowly creeping in. This is an awful thing to say, and I feel horrible even voicing it out loud, but I've had a lot of doubt since last night. What if I'm an awful mother ? I'm so unprepared. I have no idea what I'm in for. What have I gotten myself into ? My life will never be the same and I can never go back. What if I screw them up ? What if I'm so overwhelmed that I can't do anything but cry all the time ? I really need to get out of my head. I have always had a really tough time with change. What kind of person am I to even be thinking about this kind of stuff when we've tried so long for this ?

Castleterri: Yep, I am originally from San Diego. I actually grew up in Penasquitos! :-) So funny you've heard of it. No one has!

Purplyn: I'm almost positive that betas are supposed to slow down once they hit around 1,000. Check out this link. Scroll down to "normal doubling time". It says even initially it is normal to take upto 72 hours to double. And it says that once HCG hits 1200, 72-96 hours is normal. I think things sound just fine!
Beta hCG Doubling Calculator | Countdown to Pregnancy

Emme: Slow down mama! One thing at a time. It's all too overwhelming when you think about it so abstractly. I remember reading the Dr Sears "Baby" book before I gave birth and getting all stressed out about what if I didn't do exactly what I should? And that was just about what to do right after birth. You'll figure it out! And you'll do great! Things might not go according to plan or what you have in mind now, but it will all be fine. You're a bright gal and you want these babies so much - everything else will fall into place. You have 7-8 months to figure the basics out. :-)

On my phone on the way home from the u/s...one healthy and strong heart of 120! And we got to hear it also! That was amazing for being so soon! But with that type of ultrasound the wand is right there so that made it better Soooooo relieved, for now anyway! Ha! Measuring at 6 wks 3 days. Doc said it was the strongest heartbeat out of five she's seen today (she probably tells everyone that but I'll take it!)

Just a side note Purplyn, look at my betas, they were a little under your doubling rates! So take a deep breath and please try and relax a little bit! glad your retreat was good!

    Sf: Yay!!!!! :-)

I forgot to report that the doc has cleared me to do no impact exercise. He said my left ovary is still pretty big and the no exercise/no sex thing at this point is about the ovaries, not the baby. So I can ride the exercise bike, walk, do non-heated yoga and lift light weights. He also said we can DTD as long as it doesn't hurt - again, bc of the ovary, not the baby. Yay!!!!!!
