Hello friend! Thank you so much! I am trying to contain my excitement (based on my history) but it's hard sometimes. While talking to DH tonight, I referenced the future and said "....the twins...". I am holding on to my heart right now and holding my breath! I know these things can change very fast but I am hopeful. I think I will be able to breathe once I get past my NT scan (which is when we found out Mia would not live) and then feel comfortable enough to exhale.
How are YOU?
Thank you for the Congratulations!!!~Sheri~

I'm OK...I fresh cycled in Nov. stimmed for 18 days...surged 5 days before trigger and got one immature egg (out of 5) that died overnight, so zero fert. Was devastasted...my heart broke. I didn't speak to my very best friends for weeks and my DH (SUPER DH!!) totally put a guard around me and filtered everything so I could heal emotionally. I called my RE on Dec 23rd and we talked about what happened and he volunteered a free cycle, I only have to pay for meds (trying to find financing for meds...funny to come so far to have meds be my Achilles Heel) and anesthesia ($400). So we're shooting for April for one last fresh cycle using the original protocol where we first met. After that...I don't know. One step at a time. This infertility stuff is really wearing on me and my dual sides are WAY excited for a baby vs dreading another ivf and all it brings. I am SO thankful for a free cycle and that solidifies that I'm supposed to fresh cycle one more time.
OK! Done with being a downer!!
I talk about "the twins" too!Last edited by AliRBailey; 02-11-2012 at 10:06 PM.

Yolanta - I totally missed your post earlier ! I'm sorry to hear you're spotting again. I'm not sure why it's happening but I wish it would just stop ! It does seem like spotting is very common so try not to worry.

Stargazer - Okay, just let me know when you're ready for the other thread and I'll reference to it and change the title.

Morning mommies!!

Hi from Sin City, Las Vegas
I'm here for a conference, but leaving later on today, so have been away from this... but had to check in and see how everyone was doing:
BCStar: Such a sweet DH! Men with flowers is just the best
I'm thankful my DH has been so supportive... and so loving despite my not-so-loveable-IVF-injected self at times.
Steph: next time I go, I'm shipping you a bottle of banana ketchup
I think I can actually get some here in LA... lots of Pinoy here.
hatty: congrats on a super awesome beta!! twins, twins, twins!
VP: bubble tea... so good! I was at a boba shop the other day, and DH had my favorite - honey milk black tea with boba - while I had some orange juice stuff...
I was avoiding the caffeine... but ended up drinking most of his, and none of mine
yolanta: I hope you're doing ok... hopefully that's just implantation bleeding... or baby just getting nice and settled in.
emme: still happy about your twins!! such good news for our thread's first u/s! Yeah, I didn't want to take off work, so I put it off until Friday. going in on Wed, i'd be exactly 6 wks... but Friday is 6 wks/2days, so I'm also hoping they'll see more.
AFM: Anyone waking up with painful breasts?
Right when I wake up - feel nothing... then I just turn, and oh... sore. Feeling guilty yesterday as I was so hungry for lunch, and the cheap chicken pesto pizza at the Hilton looked so good.... I ate 3 pieces...
hoping that at least it's real cheese, and I didn't put a ton of synthetic badness in me. I've been trying to eat healthy, with organs developing and everything now... but then I remember the millions of women who eat whatever and have perfectly healthy little ones! Sigh. Also pigged out on these Garden of Eatin' spicy blue corn chips... yum!! Ate like 1/2 a bag during my meeting. urgh. Happy now as ohss is definitely waning - peeing like mad now and weight was 123 at it's peak prior to having fluid removed... now down to 113 in a week - scary as i gained it in a week, and lost it in a week. still with a 4-month looking belly, but much more comfortable
And oh... so I went out shopping for an engagement party dress for next weekend (as my belly is too big to fit in anything now) and I slipped into the Motherhood store... just for kicks to see what they have there for pants... as none of mine FIT!!
I've been wearing these what DH calls "grandma pants" with an elastic band - as I ran into Nordstrom Rack to buy anything as I can't fit in any of my jeans, pants, or anything... well I tried those maternity pants with the stretchy tube thing at the top and they're SOOOOO comfortable. Had to buy them. And they were buy one get one half off. saleswoman said it was nice as I could wear them throughout the whole pregnancy... I just hope that I'm not jinxing things by buying maternity clothes
but gosh, it's nice to have pants that fit now

rbaby I cant hardly wear anything either, Im constantly in yoga pants. So I too hit the motherhood store (and sears) but I dont want to have to wear any of it until after the ultrasound at least. Im scared for 1 I'll jinx things, and 2 someone will know its maternity and be like OH HOW FAR ALONG ARE YOU? (they're yelling for everyone around to notice lol) and I'll be like 5 weeks....UGG! Too fat too soon lol.
AFM - feeling a bit run down today. And apparently my little one(s) dont like pizza! And thats my favorite food :*( And I am totally stressing out over the ultrasound that still isnt for 11 days. Does this torture ever end? Im so terrified there wont be anything there :*(

rbaby - Ahh Las Vegas sounds -so- fun !! DH has been wanting to go back for some time now and we thought about taking a fast trip over there some weekend since we live close enough, but then I was thinking about how I'd want to gamble and there's so much smoke .. but I'm still thinking .. so tempting. I love those buffets (Wynn is my favorite over Bellagio) and just thinking about all the lights and excitement and food is getting me all hyper.
Wow, you are tiny ! I used to weigh 115 before all the injectable meds and I weighed myself recently and I weigh 126 ! I feel -so- bloated though. Oh man, you really inspired me to do some maternity clothes shopping online because the one symptom I majorly feel is bloated .. I can still fit into my pants but it's not comfortable anymore. =/ I have been trying to eat organic (all my meals today have been organic and I thought that was pretty good) but I definitely haven't stuck to that. I've had my fair share of bad meals because they just taste so good ! You're right though .. plenty of women do far worse things to their bodies and that's what I tell myself. :p I had my choice of ultrasound at 6w2d or 6w5d and I took the earlier one but at the time wondered if I should take the later one so I could see more so I think your 6w2d u/s sounds perfect !
Hailey - I'm sorry that baby doesn't like pizza. That would be really hard .. and who doesn't like pizza !
The worry really never does end ! I'm already semi anxious for my next ultrasound and that is 2.5 weeks away. In the meantime, I just kept peeing on sticks to ease my worries. I'm sure that everything is just fine in there.
I told myself that unless I was cramping heavily or bleeding heavily that there was no reason to freak out. Easier to say than do, for sure ! I hope the next eleven days just fly by. With Valentine's Day, it should make at least one day go by quickly.
Vegan - Good luck at your ultrasound tomorrow !!! Please keep us updated.

Sheri - Good luck at your first beta tomorrow ! What have you been eating lately ? :p
castleterri - Good luck ta your second beta tomorrow .. hope it's triple your previous number !Last edited by emme^4; 02-12-2012 at 06:49 PM.

Thanks Emme! My u/s isn't until 11 and it's 2 hours away. I probably won't update for a while after. I'm planning to take my daughter and since it's such a long drive, I figured we'd have lunch and go to the big train museum up there before heading home. Hopefully it's good news!! I'm getting a little nervous! I wish my DH could come with us, but he doesn't want to miss a day of work. I guess i'd rather him save his vacation too.
Good luck to everyone having betas tomorrow!
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one feeling huge and fat! I think my biggest thing has been indulging in too many desserts - a bit of stress eating in the evenings. Coupled with no exercise. But maybe I'll just blame the IVF. ;-) I think I'm only up maybe 3-4 lbs lately but it feels like a lot. I got really thin for me while I was nursing my daughter (128 when I got prego and then down to 117 while nursing). That weight has slowly been creeping back on since we stopped nursing over a yr ago. But I had still been below 125. Now I'm 128 again. Only my body has way less muscle mass than before I had her! I guess I just have to look forward to nursing again! I ate whatever I wanted and kept losing weight. It was amazing!!
CindyMe - 33, DOR
DH - 36, male factor
DD - natural conception - my miracle child!
11/10 - chemical pregnancy
5/11 - miscarriage at 10 weeks
3 IUIs with Femara - all BFN
All set to do IVF!! Starting stims around New Years (femara + gonal-f).
Hoping for IVF success, but being realistic and researching donor eggs as well.

Hey ladies. Just wanted to pop in and say thank you for the "good lucks" on tomorrow's BETA. Of course I POAS this morning to keep my sanity and it was immediately positive...even before the pee got to the control line and ended up being really dark positive. Doing that is the only thing that keeps me sane during the wait. I am nervous and excited about the BETA.
As for food today, let's see...I had Special K cereal for breakfast, leftover Mexican Casserole for lunch and pork chops with mushroom gravy for dinner. Not too bad!
I am sooo tired and someone asked about sore boobs...mine are sore off/on and I do get weird tingling and burning sensations. Bizarre.
Hope everyone is doing great this evening. I am watching the Grammy's and feel like I'm being tortured. I am waiting for Adele's performance. LOVE her. Not a fan of the rest of these performers.
I will check in tomorrow with the results of my BETA. Good luck to everyone else having BETA's and u/s tomorrow and Tuesday.
p.s. You girls are tiny! I haven't weighed under 135 in 4 years!

Sheri - Lucky ! I live in the same state as the Grammys but we have to wait until 8 PM for it to start broadcasting. I'm bored while waiting ! You ate pretty healthily today ! Thankfully, I just finished eating dinner so you didn't make me salivate with what you wrote, haha. Special K does sound good though ... it's great that your HPTs are immediately positive ! Mine didn't do that for a long time (I actually only noticed on the last one that I took that it did that). I can't believe we're towards the end of our cycle already *tears*.
Vegan - I'm relieved to hear that breast feeding went so well for you because I do hear that you lose a lot of weight from breast feeding but it's mainly from celebrities who miraculously look even tinier than they used to after having kids. I've never been too concerned about my weight but I am concerned about feeling comfortable in my body and my clothes so I'm trying to keep up exercising (read: walking) in hopes it will help me slim down. That is so cute that you'll be taking your daughter with you and to the train museum ! Is she super excited to be a big sister ?
Stargazer - Did you have to do C-sections for your twin births ? My excitement is slowly giving away to nervousness (I blame Amazon books and Google .. I've stopped reading them !) and I'm really worried about having a C-section because my lap was the worst experience of my life and it's the same area. I don't want to be unable to walk or talk for days again. =/Me: 31
