I tricked the nurse at the clinic into doing a Beta Monday, she wanted to do a HPT at the lab! I brought up my past history and she obviously has no GYN backround, lol, I feel guilty... But I will most definitely need help trying not to obsess with Monday's number! Lol.

Stargazer my first beta on 2/8 was 290 (at 9:30 am if that matters) and todays was 621 at 8:30 am so 47 hours apart.... I will be over the moon happy with one but I am a complete RETARD and have myself all excited about the possibility of twins because of the PENCIL TEST! WTC how naieve can one be? lol. I keep telling my husband "pencils dont lie!" lol he just rolls his eyes.
EOE Just an interesting fact that has little to do with IVF but does have to do with pregnancy....I live in a town of a little over 3000 people and over this past summer there were 11 people expecting twins.....someone call Oprah thats WEIRD and needs investigated. And only ONE couple had done IVF. The rest were naturally created the fun way! lol So naturally since everyone else has twins I want twins too. lol!Me 34 (DD 14)

Emme: Wowsers!!!!! How exciting!!! Identical twins often have the same betas as a singleton. It's strange but there are 3 other women on IVF threads I follow expecting identical twins. Though one managed to conceive her naturally while waiting to start her cycle! It does freak me out a bit that there can be more complications. But looks how many sets of healthy identical twins there are in this world??? You are so tiny - you are going to be teeny tiny with this gigantic belly! :-) I can't wait to see how many I have! But I'm still thinking one. Did your RE comment on your lack of symptoms? Plenty of mamas never have any - even with twins.
Steph - sorry you didn't get the twins you wanted. But at least you saw what you were supposed to see! :-) Was there a heartbeat yet?
Stargazer: I am so thrilled to see your update!!! Yay!!! Now will you relax a little? LOL.

AFM: I had a craving for carrot raisin salad from school lunches of my youth (though I did read about a salad last night that reminded me of it - it wasn't totally random). It was so yum!

Ladies - just got call from nurse. I'm not very thrilled. It was only 557. So it didn't double from 2 days ago 292. She said I was only 30 units off so it's still a good number but I think she didn't want me to worry too much. : ( she said to come in one week for u/s and lab but I asked for kab again this Monday and she said ok. I am praying this isn't he beginning of a downhill. I am heading off to my retreat and will be trying to do a lot of relaxation and praying.

purplyn - I've read that as long as it doubles 60% within two days that it's not a reason to panic .. easy to say but hard to do, right ? I hope that your next beta will be over double and will ease some of your fears. I'm sorry that today's number wasn't as good as you hoped. =/ Have a great time at your retreat and hope it brings you some relaxation.

purplyn - It is fine!! Really and truly, I would not tell you that if I didn't think it was. It doesn't have to be exact. Your nurse is right. It is close enough. Hang in there! It will be just fine. Enjoy your weekend! Oh and with my first son, a single, my second didn't quite double either. He is 6. It's all good!

Purplyn- Don't feel too bad, mine did the same thing, only a 50% rise, and my nurse said the same, the important thing is that it is going up! And then the third was fine. Enjoy your retreat with the ladies, you will be where I was just a couple of weeks ago! Pismo is great this time of year!! Wonderful weather over there right now
