    E2 levels in pregnancy

I am 5weeks 5 days preg and my last blood E2 level was higher than it has been, even though my shot dosage has been pretty consistent over the last few weeks. my RE told me not to do injection yet, but to come back for b/w on wed.

I know the placenta will ultimately take over estrogen/progesterone production, but is seems so early. I am just wondering if anyone knows when the placenta/placenta cells begin producing estrogen. I don't know if this makes any difference, but i don't have ovaries, so I know they are not a factor.
me 34 (no ovaries), dh 38 (fine)

Gosh I am not sure but I would love to know how this works out. Mine is holding steady around 850-860 on .2 ml 2x a week.
