Just got back from the ultrasound and there is just one. It is measuring right on target with a heart beat of 112. I go back next Tuesday and the following Tueasday before they will release me to my obgyn.

Hi Ladies, Sorry I haven't been on lately but I have been extremely busy with work and when I get home I am so exhausted.
I got my ultrasound this morning and I was excited to see one beautiful bean with an amazing heartbeat. Due date is Oct. 16 which is 8 days before my birthday!! I go back in two weeks for another and I can't wait. I can't believe everything is working out perfectly. God is so good!
I'll be back to do personals later. They have me swamped with work.

My 9 week ultrasound
Ava & HopeandFaith: Congrats on your little ones! Seeing that heartbeat for the first time is like witnessing a miracle...it's so very emotional! So happy for both of you!!!
Dianne: Double congrats on your little twins!!! You have been doubly blessed.
I love hearing about everyone's ultrasounds and whether each of us is having 1, 2, or 3 babies!!! So exciting!
AFM: My second ultrasound was yesterday at 9 weeks. The baby is growing bigger and bigger. We saw the head, body, and little limb buds. The heart rate was 173 beats per minute (up from 136 bpm at 7 weeks). It is amazing the difference two weeks make in the growth of an embryo! I definitely am feeling and looking very bloated but I have been that way all the way through my IVF cycle. I have been looking pregnant this whole time! So much for the cute gradual belly shots. I am experiencing daily morning sickness but it seems to be getting better (fingers crossed). I do worse at home in the mornings and evenings. I do better at work...not sure why???
Praying for you ladies daily and for a healthy pregnancy for moms and babies!!!!
1st IVF: BFN (7/10)
FET: Chemical (10/10)

GIG, Ava and Hopeandfaith - Congrats on seeing your little ones! It really is amazing, isn't it? I went in for my own first u/s this morning and was feeling a bit nervous because I really don't feel pregnant at all! Anyway, the RE showed us the gestational sac and then pressed hard on my uterus to get an image of the heartbeat - we could just see a little white flicker in this tiny bean-shaped dark blob! The RE said it was difficult to determine the heartbeat and too early to hear it which is strange cos everyone else seems to be coming back with heartbeats and measurements but I'm just so relieved that our little peanut is really there!
My next ultrasound is in 2 weeks then I get released to an ob - need to find one now!
Tosha, you are lucky to have got this far without having to buy maternity clothes! I have been wearing leggings or sweatpants since the ER and some evenings, I have to borrow my dh's sweatpants cos mine don't fit! I was waiting til we saw the heartbeat but now I think I'll go out and buy some clothes that fit - guess I'm not going to get any smaller over the next 8 months, lol
Me 29 dh 29
TTC since Aug 09
Severe male infertility diagnosed Sept 10
IVF #1 w/ ICSI starting Jan 2011

DelGirl: Did they do a vaginal ultrasound? That is how my RE does these super early ultrasounds and they are able to easily see and measure the baby and hear the heartbeat. It's probably far to early to get good results from a belly ultrasound. Congrats on seeing that heartbeat. It is such a relief to have proof that the baby is living and well inside, isnt it! So happy for you!
GodIsGood: Congrats on seeing your little one! Such a miracle...it never gets old seeing and hearing that heartbeat!
AFM: I am dying to go shopping for some maternity clothes. I am gonna put it off for as long as possible. I am using the rubberband trick on some of my pants that are getting too tight. With Spring coming up I am trying to wait until it starts getting warmer so I only have to purchase clothing for one season (spring/summer).1st IVF: BFN (7/10)

hello ladies, gotta jump on the HB bandwagon today too. they told me it would be probably be too early to see, but there it was. tiny little flicker at 105. it's finally starting to feel real, and i'm going to let myself enjoy this now. i know it's still very early, but i'm just ecstatic!!!
congrats GIG, ava, hopeandfaith and diane! so glad to hear your appointments went well and also glad i can share this time with all of you.
delgirl - i really wouldn't worry at all about the difficulty they had. my ultrasound tech said she made sure i got a certain room because it was the only one with a machine that "might" be able to pick something up so early...so i just got lucky today. i'm sure they'll have a number for you next time.
hope everyone else is doing okay and keeping the M/S monster at bay...
prayers for all

Ava - wonderful news! So glad your slow bean has made it and is growing fast.
Hope and faith - great news that you're right on track!
God is Good- congratulations!!
Tonya - that's great you're doing so well on your second scan. maybe mornings and night you have less food in your system so your hormones have more control over how you're feeling?
Delgirl- congrats on seeing a flicker. Don't worry about not being able to measure. It's still very early. The heartbeat and measurement will be more relevant on your next appt.
Yesterday and today my right ovary was really bugging me and now it feels like my uterus is sore again. My last US they didn't check my cysts but they did find some on my first US, so I'm going to ask about them on Thurs. I hope they're not getting too big.

Bella,
It sounds like you're going through the same thing I did. It wasn't up until the past few days that my ovary stopped hurting and the bloating went down. I was really concerned about it, even though maybe it was the sign of a tubal pregnancy and asked my RE for a "peace of mind" beta. At my ultrasound last week, I asked him again about the pain and bloating, since I was still having it and the internal ultrasound was uncomfortable. He told me it's because of how my ovary responded, that it's swollen from the meds used and that regnancy makes it worse. He said it could take a couple more weeks for it to go away completely, but not to worry, just to be careful about doing too much bending/twisting...etc. The ovarian pain is pretty much gone now but I do feel twinges in my uterus still, especially when I sneeze or cough. I hope you feel better soon!

Hopeandfaith: Congratulations on your little one!! So glad you got to hear a heartbeat today- the u/s is such an amazing experience! Good luck with your next 2 appts… I’m kinda jealous because I have to wait 2 ½ weeks now.. haha

GodisGood77: Congrats on your little one as well! I am right with you on exhaustion from work… being preggo definitely doesn’t help, either! Yay for your EDD being right before your birthday! My EDD is Oct. 13th, and my b-day is the 18th- 5 days away. October babies are the best!
Tonya22: Congrats on a great 9 wk. u/s! What a great heartbeat! My next one is at 9 weeks too… hoping I can see some great stuff. Hope your m/s continues to improve… even though my nausea is really light, it seems to be better when I’m at work too. I’m starting to think its psychological for me.. haha.
Delgirl: Congrats on finally seeing your little one! I wouldn’t worry too much about the hb.. my RE said it was really early as well, and that one crucial part of the heart doesn’t even develop for another couple of weeks. The bloating is abundant here too… I unbutton my pants as often as I can without anyone noticing.. haha. I went shopping for maternity clothes the other day, but was getting some really strange looks because I don’t look pg yet. So I just got a pair of pants a size bigger for now… lol. As for the lack of symptoms... I'm in the same boat. Nothing really so far. I was soooo afraid they were not going to find anything at all on the u/s yesterday, because I just don't feel it! haha.
DianeF: congrats on your twins! How exciting!
Hard2hope: Congrats on your little one! You have every right to enjoy this moment, we’ve all made it this far! Yay! It is finally starting to feel real for Dh and me as well.
Bella: So sorry about the discomfort… hope you don’t have any cysts to deal with! Good luck with your next u/s!
AFM: I just put the picture of our little one on my desktop background… I can’t stop looking at it!! I can’t believe that it is actually inside of me. This is finally starting to feel real to us. I think its going to be a loooong 2 ½ weeks until the next u/s. Still not feeling any real m/s.. very slight every now and then, but its usually nothing at all when I’m at work, which is awesome. The dizziness is gone for now. I still feel light cramps daily, but I think those are reassuring that there’s something there! Keep the good news coming, ladies!!

Bella - they measured two of the large cysts I have and they were about 30mm each on one side. Now I know why that side would hurt occassionally when I twisted or stretched!
I hate to admit this b/c I am so thankful to finally be pregnant but I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't twins. I guess I got all excited about the possibility and then felt a little let down at first. I'm over it now but my husband didn't understand when I tried to explain it to him. I guess I knew that this was the last time we would be pregnant and I was hoping to have twins so that we would have a total of 3 children. My dh doesn't want to do this again. Maybe I could convince him in a few years since we have 9 frosties
Did anyone else feel that way? I feel awful for being disappointed at all. I'll blame it on the hormones!
