Hey Everyone!

Nikki - I'm glad you talked to your doctor but I know exactly what you mean about only wanting to talk to us on the board! I feel the same way about things. Everyone here is so supportive and has such good advice I feel like I can't go wrong listening to you ladies!

Ailese - I read in one of my books that it gets easier with twins once they hit the 4 month mark. It didn't say why, but I'm guess they can be more entertained by themselves at that point and LORD am I ready for that! I hope it comes at their real age and not the adjusted age. I'm only 1 month away if it's their actual age but will have to wait 3 more months if its the adjusted age!!!

Here's a picture of the two from Halloween.

And one from baptism on Sunday.

Hope you are all doing well!

Candice

Candice - I'm glad you agree lol. I know that none of us can say for sure that our advice is right, but I feel like you guys understand a lot more than a male doctor. He's amazing, but he's never been there. I prefer words of experience over words of research. I guess I just look for a little understanding and support more than anything. Today has been a lot better. I didnt feel sad or angry like I have been. Hopefully its on the mend lol. I think it had something to do with the baby having visitors today. I have been feeling down because I didnt feel like I really have any real maternal feelings for her, but when there were people here holding her and passing her around I was VERY anxious..I know I shouldnt be that way, but it was good for me. It made me realize Im way overprotective of her and I love her very much..So that helped with the depression.

My hubbys uncle died today. It's been sad for the family. He was young and my mother in law (his sister) is taking it really hard. My poor dh had to listen to his mommy cry and no man likes that. Hopefully after the funeral everyone will feel better. I hate the wait between a death and the service..total dread takes over lol! I hope everyone is well!!

Ailese - Thinking of you sweetie! Hang in there!!

Nancy - Lunette is adorable! I love the one with her pouty lip!! So cute!

Nikki - sorry about your DH's uncle. I hope everyone is doing ok.

Ailese - thinking of you!

Shanni - how's the sickness in your house? Is everyone feeling better! Hopefully you don't get it too!

Hope everyone else is doing well! DH was gone to LA for a conference all this week and comes home late tonight. I'm ready for a break with the babies! They've been really good and so have the big boys so it hasn't been too bad, but still...at least the babies have been only getting up 1 time each night or not at all! It's been really nice. We went and had the Synagis injections (for RSV) and Liam weighed 10lbs 10oz and Clara was 9lbs 10oz. Little chunkers!

I finally got my period - the first one since the babies. Since I haven't been breastfeeding for at least a month I'm surprised it took this long! It was nice and heavy and it seems like it's been so long since I've had one that I wasn't really enjoying it at all! LOL - I guess I need to get knocked up again to get another break from it!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Candice

Hi Everyone!

Nikki - sorry to hear about your loss. Hang in there with the PPD, it gets better. I was diagnosed the first two weeks after Logan was born. Now I am just an angry Chinese woman who has a strong dislike for my dh. Dr. says the first year after having a baby is the hardest on a marriage and that she suggests we go to couple's counseling.

Nancy - wow, three hour photo session - I'd be pretty grumpy too the pictures are awesome. She's so cute!

Candice - Your babies are sleeping through the night? That sounds like good news for me! lol.. I am still waiting for Logan to sleep 2.5+ hours. He did sleep for five hours one night.. but that was a total fluke! Loved the Halloween pictures. They look so nice and healthy O and I am sooo NOT looking forward to AF ..

Shanni - hope everyone is finally healthy in your household! Is your mom still around to help you?

Ailese - hope Simone is doing wonderfully - your babies are gorgeous! Are you finally getting some rest?

AFM, Logan is getting super big. He's going to be 6 weeks old tomorrow and already weights 12.7lbs! So he's gained a pound a week since he's been born. He has been congested for the past two weeks. Not very happy about that cuz I know who he got it from and I told my brother in law he can't come over till he's healthy. UGH. I have my FIL and MIL come at least twice a week to help at night, but I think I am going to stop that soon because it throws Logan off his schedule... and I hate how they always carry him when he is perfectly capable of sitting/sleeping by himself. Last night, FIL came over and Logan cried for like 45 minutes.. and I couldn't do anything cuz I didn't want to step on FIL's toes. He probably thinks I am super neurotic as it is. DH thinks I have "rules" for how to handle the baby. Well, I am the one who has to deal with him for 20+ hours a day, so there are certain things I need done to make life easier for me.

So back to the congestion - Logan's been congested since last Monday. I have tried everything to help him get rid of it! Nasal drops/aspirator, humidifier, vicks vapor rub.. the poor baby has a tough time breathing when he's super stuffed up. But the thing is, when he's stuffed, I can't suck anything out cuz it seems like it's stuck way up his nose or something. Has any of your little ones been congested? How did you deal with it? Logan's eating fine still - doesn't skip a meal... was really fussy last week. Do you think this might also have something to do with his 6 week growth spurt?

Hope you all are doing wonderfully! Have a great weekend!

Tofu~ I can relate to the strong dislike comment. I think its actually pretty normal. Yes the first year is hard but just hang in there it will get better I promise. I think we have this ideal of how our husbands are supposed to act/help with the babies and when it doesn't pan our to our expectations its hard to grasp. Its hard to remeber that our husbands lives have just changed when the baby arrived. For us, we went thru hell to achieve the pregnancy and accepted change immediatly with pregnancy. So just give you man some time and credit...for dealing with us thru pregnancy & infertility treatment

Z Candice~ your insane!!! No more babies for me for a while........periods are welcome here ! My Madison weighs 8lbs 8ozs already too. She is our chunky monkey. My girls also sleep thru the night sometimes waking 1 time to feed only. Its soooo nice!

Nancy~ I love the photos. Very creative!

Does anyone elses baby have baby acne? If so...how are you treating it?

Have a great weekend!

Tofu - Sorry Logan isn't feeling well. Just watch him carefully and have the pedi check him if you are worried. I don't hesitate to call the dr's office. My 2nd had congestion and I hate to say this but he ended up with pneumonia. He went downhill very suddenly. My only sign with ds was that he was grunting and lethargic. He had none of the other signs they told me to watch for.

Nancy - those are great photos. A photoshoot for a newborn is not fun.

Candice I can't believe you have it so together!

AFM- Brennan has been VERY fussy recently and it is a combination of gas and growth spurt. I had forgotten about the 6 wk growth spurt and so he was hungry but I wasn't getting it Lol. My mother left a week ago and that very day was the worst day ever with him. B has a very sensitive stomach it seems and is getting very bad gas. I am thinking about quitting bf-ing which I hate but I am having a hard time keeping my diet so it doesn't affect him. I haven't taken him anywhere yet alone except to the dr's office for my 6wk check. He HATES HATES his carseat and screams nonstop...! He basically sleeps in his swing or my bed. I still have to get my 2yr old out of the crib which means he won't nap ever again AND I have to go thru the transition. So I am pushing it as long as I can. Everyone is well this wk - Thank you Lord!

Anyway we should all be over on the parenting board under playdates... there is a month waiting for everyone

Thanks everyone for the thoughts about our uncle. Things went ok, and the last of my hubbys giant family is gone home now. I didnt go to the services they had for him..I decided to keep Jasmine at home. There were soooooo many people, and a lot of other kids..I have a hard enough time taking care of her when she's feeling well. I definitely wanna put her first cold/flu off as long as I can But my mom came and hung out with baby and I for the day while he was gone. She was a pretty good girl. She's got this acid reflux were trying to help her with. The pediatrician gave her a prescription but its so nasty it gags her. Poor thing. I tasted it and cannot believe they would give that to a little baby!!

Candice - No good on af..I dread that day. Although, I did expect less bleeding since I had a section. It has been very light but still going on and on. Im just grateful that it wasnt super heavy like with a vag delivery. I didnt want more kiddos but having missed Jasmines birth I think I better have another lol. Crazy I know, but I do miss being pregnant..very much. She has started to adjust her days and nights. She slept for 6 hours lastnight and then woke up to eat at 230am..ate at 645, and then we got up at 9 so thats not so bad anymore. Its so great your little ones are sleeping so well!! Theyre adorable!!

Tofu - Thanks so much..I hope it goes away and stays away. I just have a hard time knowing if Im bonding well..I dont know what its supposed to feel like I guess so I dont recognize that its happening.

Michelle - My baby has a little acne, but not too bad. Her doc just said to wait it out and it will go away.

As for the congestion..Jasmine had a little bit and we used the vicks humidifier..you put liquid vicks in it with the water and it works well. Hope it goes well!
