Well, so far I'm not too impressed with the Reglan unfortunately! I took the first pill last night, you are supposed to take it 30 minutes before you eat. So I took it, waited 30 minutes then had a small snack. Everything seemed okay, so a little bit later I had a peach. Then after that I had 2 hours of excruciating indigestion pain. It hurt so freaking bad!! It finally went away. I didn't know if it was the pill or the peach that caused it, so I tried it again this morning. Again I had a little bit of pain, but not as bad as last night. But I don't feel any different! I still feel sick and blah. I'm just so discouraged, I thought this would be the answer for me but it just looks like there is no getting around my feeling sick for the next however long. We'll see what happens, I might take another one this afternoon and see if I notice any difference.

Beth

Beth, there are tons of other things they could give you. reglan is actually a medication to help with digestion...helps to empty your stomach faster. In theory your stomach should not be as full as long so that should help with nausea. There are actually medications made just for nausea. If the reglan doesn't work call the doc and ask for something different.

Have you ever tried the preggopops? You can get lollipops and drops from babies r us. They help some people.

I have the preggopop drops. They work while I am sucking on them but afterwards I feel nauseous again. I think sour apple jolly ranchers help, ginger or tangerine altoids and icebreakers sour candies. Fortunately I haven't been extremely nauseous these past few days. I think it is the acupuncture I went to last week that helped. 9 weeks tomorrow for me. I cannot wait til our ultrasound on Friday. Please pray for us!! Thanks

Thanks girls. The medication does seem to be working a little better now, maybe I just needed to get used to it. I was taking it 3 times a day, but I'm going to take it 4 times a day starting today because it does make me drowsy and I am having lots of trouble sleeping at night. So maybe it will help me sleep better than the Benadryl does. I have heard of the preggo pops, DH is going to try to get me some this week.

Other than that, are any of you feeling movement already?? I swear I am feeling the babies move, which seems nutty but I guess with twins you can feel it earlier. Counting the days till 14 weeks which is when I go back to the doctor.

Good luck to you all!!!!

Beth

I have my 12 week OB visit tomorrow, but we'll just do the doppler then and *hopefully* hear the hearbeats. I have my other 12 week appointment with the perinatologist on Wednesday for my ultrasound. I haven't had one in four weeks! I'm getting anxious to see these babies again.

Beth - I have twice felt flutters at night when I was still and quiet and trying to sleep. I really did wonder if it was gas, or all in my head, or perhaps those first few flutters coming out. This is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for, but you feeling it too makes me think perhaps that's what it was!

I'm glad that the medication is working. Em - that's crazy!! I've taken zofran before and it really does the trick, but that's crazy expensive!!! It's too bad the morning sickness isn't going to happen just ten times a month!

I have to say that the jolly ranchers are helping me a TON with the massive heartburn I'm having. I don't know why, but with the metformin I'm on for pcos I can't take antacid and the jolly ranchers are saving me there.

I'll let everyone know if I hear those heartbeats tomorrow!

Sarah

Checking in to update. Had my third u/s today and all is still well. Ob and nurse again seemed surprised but said everything looks good. Still can't explain my crappy betas. Saw the little hb beating away. So cool. I have my first ob apt next Thursday. I will probably get an u/s then. My ob is a personal friend and I know he will want to make me happy, lol!

Few, same thing for me with the drops. They are a temporary fix only...but better than nothing!
em, I can't believe Zofran is so expensive! Like you are only going to need 10 plls a month!
Mads, I am glad the Reglan seems to be kicking in. I don't think it's impossible to feel twins this early. Especially since this isn't your first pg.

Scrappin, good luck tomorrow!!!!

Our OB appointment went really well! We didn't really learn anything new, but they did do an ultrasound to see the heartbeats. The doctor said that with twins she's never sure if she's hearing the same baby again or a different baby with the doppler, so she just gave me the ultrasound. It wasn't as high tech as the ultrasounds I get at the perinatologists office, but there were definitely two little hearts beating away in there. Tomorrow is the perinatologist's office. A twin mom friend of mine found out the sexes of her babies at 12 weeks at her perinatologist's office, so I'm crossing my fingers!!!

Scrappin, good luck tomorrow. How cool that you may get to find out the sexes! Do you have a feeling? A preference?

I really think it's two boys. I don't have anything to base that off of but just a feeling! I don't really have a preference. Before DD, I really wanted a girl, but now I feel like I love being a girl mom so I'm happy to do that again, but I'm also happy to have boys too. Who knows... maybe it'll be one of each! (but I'm telling you I really feel like it's two boys.)

We'll just have to see! Since I'm so excited about it, I'm sure that we won't be able to tell! )
