Question about stopping meds...

I was wondering if anyone can calm me down. I was called by my doc this am and told that they are going to start weaning me off of some of my meds. Over the last couple of weeks they have been weaning me off of my prednisone for elevated Natural killers, I am still getting IVIG so that doesn't worry me as much. On the phone call today I was told to start weaning myself off of my metformin as well. Right now I am on 500mg twice daily. I on this because of an elevated PAI-1 gene (blood clotting). I was also previously on lovenox and BA for this, but was taken off for my bleed/tear at 14 weeks. I am so nervous not to be on anything. I am wondering why I can't just stay on it for the duration of the pregnancy. After thinking about this all afternoon, I called back my doc to ask these questions as well, but of course they didn't call back today. As of now I am not decreasing the metformin today. Any info you all have would be greatly appreciated.

I was on metformin when i became pregnant with twins. My doctor took me off everything at 10 weeks. I was a little nervous about this but.....everything is going just fine for us.

I would consult with your dr first at to the reasoning for extra reassurance.
