Oct Due Date IVF'ers - July Thread
Hey Ladies,
After pressure from friends and family, dh took a couple of belly shots. So, I thought that I would begin the July thread with some shots of my growing twin belly, (and boobs), LOL!! at 21 weeks 5 days. My cervix is measuring great! Devon is measuring about a week ahead and weighing in at 1 pound 7 ounces. Simone is measuring right on schedule and is weighing 15 ounces. We were a little concerned about the difference in their weight but the u/s tech said that they are measuring just fine, sounds good to me! ![]() Well, I hope you all are doing well and I wish everyone a great weekend! Ailese

Ailese - Thanks for starting the new thread. You look great! And sounds like the monkeys are doing very well too. That's so awesome!
I'm 27w today and have a Dr appointment on Tuesday. I'm hoping to have the babies measuring out at over 2.5lbs so we'll see if they are still growing nice and strong! My mom is coming down tomorrow so we can go shopping for something to wear to the baby shower in 2 weeks. Hopefully we can find something! I hope everyone has a great weekend! Candice |

Hi Ladies,
Great photos Aliese! DH has been taking photos of me (profile of the belly) once a week since 12 weeks. It is great to have those to "remember when" after the babies arrive :-) I am almost 27 weeks now and still feeling pretty good. Had to repeat my glucose tolerance test last week b/c the first one came back high. The 2nd test was HORRIBLE!!! I was so nauseous and was worried that I would be sick and then have to go through the whole thing another day. The good news is that the 2nd results came back normal, so I don't have gestational diabetes. Apparently it is very common in multiple pregnancies. Did anyone else have a bad experience with that disgusting orange drink? Otherwise, we're still just trying to get ready for the babies. I registered for some of the things we need, and the baby shower date is booked for late August. We sill have to move some things around in the house b/c the den will be the nursery, but some friends are coming over to help DH with that. I am strictly the "supervisor" with regards to the moving of furniture. My next OB appt will be when I'm 28 weeks. Right now Twin A is breech and Twin B is transverse. I'm hoping that we'll see on u/s that Twin A might have turned around, since I'd like to avoid a c/s if poss. My doc is still saying it is too early to tell, but if Twin A doesn't move to a head-down position he'll book me for a c/s at 37 or 38 weeks. Do you guys know yet how you'll be delivering? |

Candice, No problem, Hon. I was anxious to get the belly shot up and thought I would help you out by beginning the July thread.
You are moving right along!! Have you discussed when your doc wants to deliver you yet? Do you want to have the twins vaginally or by C-section? What about names? Have you both decided yet? I know that you won't know what you are having til they get here but do you have some in the back of your mind for both girls and boys? I am sure that you will be able to find something to wear. I have been wearing some super cute maxi dresses from Gap and Old Navy Maternity. I love bohemian chic style clothing and I love long hippie cotton dresses and they are GREAT whille pregnant and SUPER confortable and I still look cute. I sweat like a stuck pig while pregnant so with a dress, especially cotton, I can still catch a breeze. LOL! They have a bunch of items on sale at both Old Navy and Gap, perhaps they aren't your style but I thought that I would pass it along as they have been great for me. Check online, I think you will be surprised.Nikki, Are you really pregnant, Girl??? My Lord, you are SUPER tiny! I look like a large whale in comparison. You are beautiful and your hubby is super cute. You both make such a great couple, I am sure that Jasmine is going to be gorgeous! Tell Daddy to buy the shotgun now! ![]() Sad, you and Candice are heading in the same direction! I had to have a glucose test early in my pregnancy because Type I diabetes runs in my family. I drank the orange stuff but it was cold and just tasted like really sweet orange Kool-Aid. I have heard that the 2nd test is horrible. I am just pleased to hear that you have been given a clean slate. I hope that I don't end up with it as it can become very worrisome while carrying multiples and yes it is more common in multiple Moms. I will begin my registry today. Do you happen to know the correct protocol on letting friends and family know that you have a registry? Should I mail out cards? AFM, I am getting bigger and bigger by the day as you can clearly see from my belly shot. I have now gained 15 pounds! YAY! I didn't get the 3d u/s on Wednesday because I wanted to wait til my parents got here so that they could be there. The u/s tech did say that I prolly want to wait til I'm at least 24 weeks so that I could have a better idea of what they will probably look like. She said that right now they will prolly look like little orange skeletons, LOL! Oh, and just one more thing..... I NEED SEX!!!!! These "O" dreams are becoming more of a nightly event and all they do is frustrate the hell out of me! Dh and I are so happy that we are becoming parents but also so sexually frustrated! It's a double edged sword. I hope that my Peri will give us the go head at my next appt. The only problem is that my folks will be there so I will have to ask the doc somehow in code or something. LOL! My Mom is totally cool but I can't say that in front of my Dad! I'm his baby girl!! In fact, he still calls me "little girl". Anyhow.... enough of my ranting. Later Ladies!Ailese |

Sad - I have to have my glucose test tomorrow morning and am thoroughly dreading the orange stuff. I don't have any more daily nausea but its SUPER easy to make me puke...so hopefully the drink will be cold and not super huge. My baby was breech last time we got a peek, and my placenta was in the way of a c/s..so hopefully she has turned and is being a good little girl in there.
Ailese - Thank you so much..You're the sweetest thing. You crack me up!!! LMAO!! You don't look like a whale at all. I was just telling my dh how adorable you look and how I cannot believe you have two babies in there! You made me feel much better, though, cuz I've been feeling really heavy lately. So thank you I feel heavy overall though. Not just my belly, but my legs and arms and everything. I think my whole body is pregnant lol. My dh is a cutie but he would fight to the death insisting that he's an average Joe lol. It really can be hilarious going places with him. Last week we went through a drive thru fast food place (I know..Shame Shame!) and the guy working the window started hitting on my dh right in front of me! Well, not knowing how to respond to that one I just decided to stifle my laughter and see how he took it. He asked the guy for sugar for his coffee and when the guy gave it to him, he rubbed his finger over my dh's hand and said "I'll give you some sugar." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..Ohhhh boy. My dh didnt think it was funny at all and was very not nice to him, but I thought it was hilarious. I tried to tell him he's just a cutie and to enjoy it but he wasnt listening lmao. He has his guns all ready for Jasmine hehehe. I told him not to humiliate her at every turn and he said if she fights the bars on the window he will just plant a cactus below the window lol. He's got it all planned out. I'm so sorry you're being plagued by the "O" dreams lol. Mine have pretty much gone away, but that doesnt help you does it..I think if I needed to ask my dr about it and my dad was gonna be there (I think he still tells himself Im a virgin ) I would call them in the morning before my appt and ask, or else while you're there just mention that you would really like the pelvic rest to stop and maybe the dr will get it but your parents wont lol!Oh! and when I did my registry I just added a note inside my shower invites that said that we were registered and where, and that if people choose to get us a gift everything we need is on the lists. That way we werent demanding gifts but we were letting them know we wanted stuff from the registry and not just a ton of pink clothes lol. I think thats what were getting though. Pink clothes and blankets, because noone seems to understand the registry thing. So they look at the note and say, "I'm making her a pink blanket." lol...alright. AFM - Jasmine has started taking her toll on me lol. I have an ongoing hemorrhoid issue and thats a great time. I have also noticed that my breasts are leaking colostrum every single day now..at first I didnt know what it was and was quite offended when my dh suggested I may have sprung a leak hahahaha. But it's the truth I have come to realize. And beginning yesterday I have a bit of sciatica. Just out of nowhere I began getting this awful, shooting pain from my lower back down the right side of my butt..it's funny in a way, but it can knock you to your knees. I am hoping that it means she has turned and is in a better position for delivery, but I do hope she eases up on the nerve. Well, thats my incredibly long story for the day! I hope you're all well and having a great Sunday!

Question Ladies.... I am totally stumped! I was under the impression that once I hit 22 weeks that is when I hit 5 months. But, after reading others statements as to how far along they were, it looks like I am in the wrong. I googled the question and this is what I came up with. Does this sound right?
Because according to this I am 5 1/2 months pregnant, right???!!!! 24 weeks is 6 months. 28 weeks is 7. 32 is 8. 36 is 9. 40 is 10. I never speak about my pregnancy in months when at the doc's office, I only discuss the pregnancy in weeks. So, am I almost 6 months pregnant??? Dumbfounded, Ailese |

Ailese - Yes, you are 5.5 months
*yay* - we go full term 40 weeks (10 months), but the first two weeks of pregnancy is when you ovulate and stuff. So your baby is considered 20 weeks old right now (which is 5 months), but you are 22 weeks pregnant. Btw, your belly bump is cute! Nikki - you look awesome! Can hardly tell you are even pregnant! Eep, the dreaded sciatica.. I get that often after walking or lifting. Get dh to rub your butt. It helps a great deal! It might even turn him on! haha Candice - you have some big ole babies in you. During my 24.5 week scan, Logan only measured 1lb 9oz. I am hoping he's a lot bigger now. I feel him kick, squirm, turn more - so I am assuming he's getting stronger and stuff. Sad - I am sorry you had to go through that 2nd glucose testing. My cousin did it and said it was dreadful. Hers came back negative also - so glad you don't have GD. I made a mistake of not putting it in the fridge before drinking it. So when I guzzled mine down with a straw, I wanted to barf. It tasted like an otter pop - melted. bleh. AFM, I am totally depressed. I have gained sooooooo much weight, it's unbelievable. 31 lbs and I am 27w1d. I gained 3 lbs alone just this weekend, and I swear I haven't been eating THAT much. My DH doesn't make me feel better about myself either. He's even trying to restrict my diet. Like, really? You think you know what Logan needs? I haven't had any cravings at all. But I have found it hard to watch TV that shows people eating or food related when I have an empty stomach. Anyway, I update every week on my shutterfly site - go for a visit mbhomfamily.shutterfly.com to catch up when I am not posting here. ![]() Hope everyone is doing well!!

Hello All!
Not much time to update right now, but wanted to say how everyone is looking GREAT! Ailese, Nikki, Tofu - you all look gorgeous! Growing babies agrees with you! We have our appointment tomorrow - she'll do another growth scan and cervical check so hopefully all is still well on that front. Since you all have been so brave, I'll post my 26w belly shot!
