Should I be worried about this heart rate?

Hi everyone,

After 9 fresh cycles, countless frozen cycles and transfers to myself (resulting in BFN's, one missed m/c of a normal embryo at 8 1/2 weeks and a few chemical pregnancies) and then 3 transfers to a Gestational Carrier (one of which was a missed m/c at 9 weeks due to chromosomal abnormalities), my GC is pregnant with twins!

I'm really worried about something though. At the first u/s at 7w3d, the RE only saw one. The h/b was 150 and it was measuring one day ahead.

Then, at 9w3d the RE saw 2 and said one must have been hiding at the first appt. Baby A had a h/b of 145 and measured 9w3d. Baby B had a h/b of 176 and measured 9w. My RE thought everything looked good. Well, we went from there to the OB's office and, when we gave the OB the report, he said he was concerned about the slow h/b of Baby A.

Now that I'm looking all over the internet, this does seem on the low side for 9w3d. Has anyone had success with this low of a heart rate around this time?

On top of that I'm worried that Baby B had a good h/r but was measuring 3 days behind.

Can some of you share your experiences; good or bad? I wish I could let myself be fully excited but I'm so afraid that things won't work out.

Her next appt. is on Wed.

A lot of internet sites will refer to a sample chart that someone posted on the internet showing how the heartbeat would increase if it started out at X beats. This sample chart is not a listing of the appropriate ranges and can be misleading if that's how you interpret it. Try looking at some ultrasound sites for info on what the appropriate ranges are. http://www.ob-ultrasound.net/
