Happy June! I love summer!
Carla - Cute pictures! Isn't it nice to be able to have the kids at a party & have them be at least slightly entertained on their own? The older they get, the more they will start to run around with other kids & the less you will have to watch them every second. Tiffany - Cute, cute pics! I love Nelsons little faux-hawk! And Kenleys hair is getting so long! Erica - Glad it is going so well with 3. Enjoy the time while Isaac sleeps so much - before you know it he will be running around with the twins. I bet nursing is a lot easier with just 1 than 2! Mer - That sucks about DHs kidney stones. I have heard they are painful....and he is probably worthless in helping with the kids right now, so you still don't get a break. Hope for both your sake that he is better soon. AFM, DH made it back Sunday afternoon with the new RV. This week we are wrapping up t-ball and I have a check up with the doctor for DDs hernia repair on Friday. I think tomorrow I will try to give her a tub bath, since it will have been 2 weeks. DD has a little friend across the street that she loves playing with - today she was looking out the window asking for her by name - so cute. I have been working with DS trying to get him to ride a bike without training wheels. We will have a pretty low key week, I think.

WEll...
There IS a God!
IT'S AN EAR INFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND IT'S A BAD ONE TOO!! JESUS! Anyway, it's bad and he estimates he's had it for like 3 weeks AND actually never got rid of the 1st one he had on April 30th. Even tho I took him back in to ck if it was gone.. It wasn't. Fricking idiots. So, he's been BAD cuz he's been in hellish pain. I feel soo guilty. He slept IN his crib last nite but I put a pillow in there so he wouldn't experience the pressure and GUESS WHAT... No crying! (FYI: it's painful to lay flat w/ an ear infection.) So, prop him up and he's happy as a clam. Plus, I've also decided it's time to give them pillows in their cribs anyway. They TOTALLY love/need that. So... we're on our way up-- ![]() I am going to be excited as well to see how Isaac compares. It will be soo interesting to see how much, if at all, birthweight affects your size over time. Are you totally seeing the similarities between him and J?? I TOTALLY do! Is he going to be in season w/ J's clothing/ pajamas at all???? Also, I have to say that in pictures, at least, your kids look TALL!! I think that whenever I see them (which isn't often. ) Maybe they're just tall and lean!Tiff- those pics are just adorable! Alessandro is going to have to have some kidney stones cut out and then have laser surgery as well to break the other ones up. He has 2 that are over 1 cm in size which is "HUGE" according to the doc we saw last nite. Today he goes to the urologist for even more testing. He's on oxycodone right now. (Lucky basta*rd.) Brandie, are you planning on teaching summer school at all?? Laura, show us some pics of yo'self girl! Mel, How is DH's job hunt going??? |

Brandie- Glad Dh made it back safe!!! |

Mer- OMG YEAH for a diagnosis and I hope it gets better SOON, my experience is that once on the antibiotics they make them feel better in about 36 hours or so! I have hope that things are on the up and up for you, poor little guy
dont feel bad I did the same thing with Madeline's first ear infection, just kept blowing it off and FINALLY took her in (we were in Vt) and it was a NASTY ear infection and I felt rotten for not taking her in sooner--- Brandi- Yeah for DH making it home safe and sound and with the new RV! Too cute about DD and her little playmate across the street and good luck with ds and getting rid of the training wheels! Tiff- like I said before I LOVED the pics As for me.... the past few days have been TOUGH, Madeline especially is throwing tantrums and being difficult and neither are listening very well. Get this.... we went to my post partum midwife appt and the kids hung out with DH in the waiting room and apparently were really good playd with toys etc... I have a slight brush with possible mastitis so the midwife reccomended cabbage leaves and vit C supplements so we went to target to pick them up on the way home. Isaac needed to eat so I went into a fitting room and when I came out and met back up with the kids Madeline suddenly became HYSTERICAL and was all of a sudden petrified of DH. She wouldn't go near him, was clinging to me but crying hysterically- She cried the ENTIRE way home, refused to eat dinner and would NOT stop crying and would NOT let DH go anywhere near her. I had NO idea what to do and I think lack of sleep is finally getting to me as my patience and tolerance level has def gone down as I find myself YELLING more than usual. Anyway I put her to bed at like 5:40 with no dinner (b/c she refused to eat it) I felt HORRIBLE but had NO idea what else to do--- I've never seen behavior like that, why would she freak out about DH all of a sudden, he said while I was nursing Isaac they had a blast and played with toys etc... IL's come tomorrow, hopefully if my kids can get over their stranger anxiety maybe they can provide a little relief..... DH is taking Thursday off and planning to take them somewhere (ANYWHERE) to give me a little break to just hang out with Isaac.... ok gotta run |

Oh my, Erica, that is REALLY odd! I wonder if he just did something accidentally that frightened her?? WEIRD! Who knows! I am convinced they are going thru an anxiety phase right now (scheduled for 18 mos approximately) and that is what is going on. Also, I have read that the "terrible twos" are really not at two, they are at 18 and 30 months instead. JOY! I'm sorry you're getting run down. Get some alone time w/ the baby and if it means anything, I think you're doing a GREAT job!
![]() Carla, Well, that is good news! Is the travel industry seeing some action now?? Lots of trips etc... that means good stuff for the economy. Have you noticed it getting better?? How are the kids? Things here are crappy but manageable. Ale will have surgery (very serious surgery) on June 12 to have the kidney stones taken out. They have to go thru his penis OMG. Not going to be fun. He's in CONSTANT agony and is just getting by. Gabe is still in pain and is currently asleep in MY BED. I'm done fighting it. You gotta know when to hold 'em, and know when to fold 'em right? He is the 2nd most stubborn kid that I know (Lol guess who is the first??) and he will NOT nap if I put him in the crib. Blows. Laura, any pics of you or colin for us?? How do you guys keep busy?? What kinds of things do you all do during the day?? Sparkly, what have you been up to? How's Kenley's little attitude she was having a few days ago? Who did those photographs for you?? Soo great! Brandie, are you potty training right now?? I think you said you were, how's it going?? What will you guys do this summer for fun?? Mel, where in the heck are you??? How are the kids? Recent pictures to show us?? How's the job hunt? Gina, how's it going??? How are your boys? Pics? I have been taking SOOO many pics lately cuz it's been sooo nice out. I LOVE outdoor pics! Anyone I missed, sorry! OH and I saw SReed on another board and she's pregnant w/ TWINS!!! I told her to come back for some advice! (HOPEFULLY she doesn't ask me how it's going tho )

Afternoon ladies-
Well- Im glad that i sent her to bed b/c a) she had no problem making it to bfast this morning and wasn't even begging to eat while I showered and fed Isaac like she usually is b) she slept until her usual 7am wake up time (well 6:50 but potato patato right) So CLEARY she just needed some extra sleep- we had pushed their bedtime back to 6:30pm awhile ago but maybe (for right now anyway) it needs to go back to 6pm.... or maybe she was just having an overtired kind of day for whatever reason- Either way she's been a doll today, in fact they have both been REALLY good- We had a nice morning which was just SO refreshing-- Robs parents are here, they are out having lunch and are planning to come home once the kids wake up from their nap so as not to disturb anyone. I have been cleaning all morning and the house is looking good if I do say so myself! Mer- Im sorry about Ale's upcoming surgery Carla- glad that business has picked up BUT sorry that you're so busy and stressed Too cool about SReed having twins, I hope she stops by our thread! Too funny she had a singleton than twins I had twins than a singleton--- Sorry if I missed anyone, off to go chill b4 kids wake up and IL's arrive |

Erica - I think it will actually help the kids having extra family in town to keep them busy with something different. And I am with Mer - I think you are doing a great job. I read somewhere the other day "You start with one kid. Having two kids doesn't double the work - it is like 7 times the work. Three kids is twenty-seven times the work. And if you have four kids it doesn't make a difference cause you usually can't find one of them at any given time."
So you are practically a mom on 27. And I have found that my kids aren't bothered if they go to bed without dinner - I am usually more bothered by it than they are. Mer - Sounds like it is a little rough at your house. Sorry your DH is in so much pain. I say keep putting Gabe in your bed while he is getting over his ear infection. If it gives you some peace & lets him nap, it is worth it. Glad you found out what was wrong with the poor guy. It is so hard to know when to take them to the doctor & when not to. Carla - Sorry work is so busy! I guess it is job security for you if it is busy, though, right? Sparkly - So what are your plans for the summer? I am guessing you have a lot planned since you are always so busy. On the potty training - I am trying to avoid it still. DD still has been taking off her diaper, but I keep insisting she put it right back on since she has yet to successfully go in the potty chair and she won't sit still long enough on it for it to happen. She saw a preview for a Elmo potty DVD & seemed very intrigued, but I had carpet cleaners come yesterday & I really don't want to get piddle all over it again anytime soon. So we will see..... Our plans for June....We are here this week & next week - We have a b-day party tomorrow & then DD check-up is actually Friday. DS is doing a "Camelot & Knights of the Round Table" day camp next week. On Friday we are leaving & DRIVING to Chicago to spend a week with DHs family. I will fly by myself with the kids from Chicago to Washington State a week later to visit my dad for 4 days. My sister is going to pick us up & drive us back to Boise & I will stay with my mom for 3 days & then fly with the kids from Boise to our home. I may be suicidal by the end - please have me in your thoughts. Then we will be around for about 5 days & are talking about taking the new RV to Yellowstone for the 4th of July, although that isn't for sure yet.
