I think so. My doc said that it feels like somebody's squeezing your belly & if you touch it, It should be as hard as a rock. They shouldn't hurt if they are BH.

Heather: I found out this for you

A Braxton Hicks contraction is a contraction of the uterus and feels similar to a menstrual cramp. Typically, they are not painful but will make your belly feel hard. Sometimes a change in position will trigger a Braxton Hicks contraction. Unlike true labor contractions, there is no pattern to a Braxton Hicks contraction.

Hope this helps!

I still dont' know what contractions are either. Sometimes when I touch my belly its harder then usual but i can still press it in with a finger. Someone told me that can't be bh. I dunno. My dr. said that with twin pgcies it doesn't matter. something like that. so i stopped being obsessive about it.

the contractions that hurt are the ones that matter.

Carin, believe it or not I have good and not so good days! Yesterday I felt like I couldn't breathe through my nose all day. Started feeling better and went to sleep. Woke up at 3:30am with a minor asthma attack! I haven't had one in over 10 years! and have NEVER had one in the middle of the night! My poor Dh has never seen me have one! He was freaked out a bit and stressed and couldn't get back to sleep! Me, I got worn out and went back to sleep! I felt So bad for him, except he is off of work, took days off, and got up and read and watched Squawk Box and those incindiary shows about money! Those shows make me madder and madder and he loves to be UP TO DATE on whats happening on Wall St! HE is SO funny to me! I used t watch Mad Money with him, but that guy makes me NUTS now! Shows that sound like they are screaming at me and eachother, oooh! They make me CRAZY now! Plus, it seems like its EVERY money and politic type show! I think its due to my allergies making me irritable and the lack of sleep!

Ok, so has anyone else started suffering from insomnia? It feels like its getting worse! I sleep about 3-4 hours a night! I do sleep longer and deeper when I take Tylenol Pm, one each night! But, I am taking a break from it cause my Dh is not NEEDING to sleep while off work this week. So NEITHER one of us gets any sleep! I think its only fair! I think I will take some tonight though, my mom and dad are coming in for a few days. My dad is preaching at our church and I want to be rested to REALLY enjoy then both! They are my two favorite people on this earth! Well, in the history of the universe! Plus, my mom said she is coming to SPEND money on her grandbaby Sophia! I need to get my rest so I can keep pace with the shopping queen!
I hope my asthma leaves me be! I went outside in the bright 79 degree sunshine for about an hour! My freckles make me look tan! 15 minutes a day and I get nice and golden brown and need only mascara and lipstick! Today is 80 and I am going for a walk! Just want some more freckles!

Hey everybody, just checking in after a long while. I have bronchitis. It is awful, my ribs feel like they are going to explode. apparently they expand anyway from pregnancy and now with this chest infection...ouch.

Anyway, this is all new to me. I've never had this before, I really never get sick in the first place. So, I am just exhausted and sore from all the coughing.

I hope you all are well. I miss you.

Krb- Darling! I am SO sorry you are sick with bronchitis! As a child I would get 3-4 times a year! It is NO fun when you aren't pregnant! I can just imagine how yucky it is being pregnant! I can tell you, try not to get HOT, or really cold, it will make your coughing spells worse. You also need a humidifier! If you can hekp it, sleep on an incline and have something to suck on to keep the post nasal drip from irritating your throat and making you cough more! Move slowly, like molasses in the dead of an Alsakan winter slow. Try not to do much AT ALL!!! You can have your DH pound pretty stiffly on your back where you rlungs are and it should help to break up the congestion, will ALSO bring on a coughing spell but feels so good to break that crap up and couhg it out! Try putting Vicks on oyur chest and back whaere your lungs are and put on a VERY tight tshirt and then a sweatshirt and go to sleep! I also have rubbed it all over my neck and wrapped a thin dish towel around my neck pinning it in place and slept with it on al night! I also put some in my ears and then put in cotton balls! Put some IN your nose. I KNOW! Most people say not to, but 33 years of using it hasn't hurt me! Plus, when you are SO sick you try ANYTHING! I promise you will feel better! It will help you feel better! A HOT Shower on your back will feel better for ONLY a few minutes, not too long, you will start coughing!
I was JUST wondering where you were! Let me know how this stuff works! Hugs!

biscuits & KRB- Sorry you guys are feeling sick. I hope everything gets better, meanwhile keep drinking lots of fluids & eating healthy.

Pepsi- So I guess we shouldn't worry about our bellys getting hard unless we're actually feeling that tightness & pain. Makes me feel a little relieved. I've been constipated even though I take colace & I think that has a lot to do with my discomfort.

Faith- I felt that when I was about 16 wks. I never really knew what it was, but I only started feeling actual movement @ 20 wks. Now it's pretty wild movement, I wonder what they're doing in there!!
