Well ladies..........we officially have 30 days until April babies are going to start arriving......and some of us may even have our babies by the end of March, depending on when c-sections might be scheduled.

We did go on our "babymoon" to Atlanta this weekend. We had a nice time, although we picked the worst weather weekend to go - rain on Saturday and snow on Sunday!
While there, I went to a bra store to try on nursing bras. I tried on the Medela bras. Anyone checking out nursing bras yet? Any recommendations?

trying to work from home for me -- snow in greater boston. not easy as DD (2) doesn't understand why mommy can't play.... and she finds me even when i try to hide upstairs or downstairs.
not sure if i'll make my doc appt or not later this am. dh thinks we should try. re nursing bras..... you may want to get one or two ahead of time, but you will continue to fill in so so you may end up needing a larger size. i ended up using cheapies from target and loving many of them. i had a few for daytime/out and then some cami/tank for around the house and also sleeping/overnight. try doing the opening (to drop the front) one-handed as many times you'll have baby in the other arm/hand. consider how the cups will/wont hold bra pads (you will want either disposable or washable pads to help with leaking.... especially on the overnights!) i didn't like underwire -- and many people say don't use it because it can lead to plugged ducts.... but if you need/want the support try them. can't believe it's march already. can't believe i'm 34w. i think i'm a bit in denial today. -tia |

I know, scary! I have a c-section scheduled 3/26 so that's 3.5 wks from now!
I made it to my 2 appointments this morning but was going to cancel my third when I found out the office was closed. There was a lull in the storm so I didn't have too much trouble getting to the 7:30 am appointment (and the 8:30 one was in the same place). But getting home at 9:30 was more of an effort. I'm not going back out. |

Eek on the blizzard! Guess that's what our cold front stemmed from, but luckily no precip here in TX.
I was just going to ask about nursing bras. Since I can't go shopping I was going to order 1 or 2 online. The Bravado website says to get 1-2 cup sizes up from what you are now (a month or so before delivery), so I'm going to try that and see if it works. I HATE not being able to shop for stuff right now! DH had 3 friends over last night for a crib-assembling party. Yay for them! He says it looks great and really makes the nursery look like a nursery. I bought an organic crib mattress online last night, as well as ordered the changing table, so things are coming together. I have it in my head that I only have 3 weeks left, just thinking I'll go into real labor once we stop all the drugs, but realistically I may hang on even after that (or go into real labor even sooner!). Crazy that it's so close! |

good morning ladies!! We had a crazy storm here last night and still snowing today, have 12in of snow!! Of course I didn't go into work but definitely been doing some stuff from home since they already called me.
Yesterday was my shower, it was lots of fun!! Everything turned out perfect and I got soooo many things. I don't think I need anything else, everyone was so generous!! So glad that its over with and we just made it since the snow started a few hours after the party ended. Whew!!! So nice having today off, I get to look through all the baby stuff!!! Hope everyone else had fun at their showers!

Even though I am not breastfeeding, I bought a BF bra from walmart last week. It was $13.00, and was wire-free. Someone recommended getting one for wearing after the baby is born for the first week or so, because my boobs might be uncomfortable, and not fit into the bra I have been wearing. I can not vouch for it yet, but I tried it on and seemed pretty comfy.
lisa......glad you had a good time at your shower

Rompers?
You girls are getting close....I still have 8 weeks...
Lisa- glad you had a great time at your shower and you got a lot of stuff. Ok, here's my latest stupid question. A friend just gave me a bunch of her son's old rompers. They're all 3-6 months and sleeveless...so kind of look like overalls. If they actually fit during the summer, what do you put under them....a matching short-sleeve onsie or nothing at all??
