Sorry I was a little MIA last week, and didn't get to keep up with the weekly thread and everyone's posts.

I overdid it last weekend and was just really tired. I was lacking energy.

I promise to be better at staying up to date this week.

How are all the nurseries coming along?

And who has baby showers coming up?

Grant's room is probably half done. It is coming together nicely.

I found out today I am getting a little shower at work on March 6. I am excited because it is my only one.

Good morning ladies!!

First day back at work today after the nice long weekend, definitely getting more difficult to commute everyday. Not sure how many more weeks I can do this for.

1st update, my FIL went to the dr yesterday and got very good news!! The dr feels as though he will be able to keep all his fingers and they are healing very nicely. He will have a long road ahead of him though with rehabilitation to use that hand again. But it is better than the alternative so we are very happy about that and I'm sure he is relieved as well.

AFM, I head to the OB tonight for a quick checkup, hope the scale doesn't go up that much but I think it will. Dh is done painting the nursery, its soooo cute and blue!! We are having the furniture delivered next week, can't wait to have all the baby's stuff put away, the pile keeps getting bigger. My shower is in less than 2wks, I can't wait. I just want to get through that day and then I'll feel I'm ready for the baby to come.

DH and I had a nice Valentine's Day, went to an early dinner, he bought me flowers and chocolate which was sweet. I tried to do my best at getting dressed up for him, not that I have much of a selection of clothes with my increasing size.

How was everyone's weekend?

Lisa- HOORAY for your FIL! Awesome news!

Nik- I totally hear you! There is SOOO much laundry to do.

As for me, FIVE WEEKS more to go. The shower was so, so wonderful. But I was EXHAUSTED, EXHAUSTED by the end. Someone pretty much had to help me open presents. I worked up a sweat. As for the loot, these kids are set, I registered at Babies 'R Us primarily. Got all the bedding. lots of cute outfits. snap -n- gos, strollers, toys galore. We should be in very good shape. Now I'm washing everything like a maniac.

I'm on medical leave from work. I had to go in for contractions when I physically over do it, that's usually the case. My day is pretty much divided into naps. I sleep a lot. I kind-of feel that I need to.

I'm in the home stretch. So, it's nice to know there's a light at the end of the tunnel. We're looking to complete 32, then 34. Once we hit 34, we can breathe a little easier. As for the twins, they look good so far. I get monitored once this week...from my reproductive immunologist. AND I GET TO GRADUATE FROM HER!!!!! Then at 32 weeks, we monitor the babies twice a week from my perinatologist.

No epidural for me. I can have a little bit of a spinal, just to take the edge off. : ( If we go c-section, I will be completely knocked out and I miss the whole thing. I'm a little sad about it, but if it's what we need to do, then so be it.

Barcelona - it is so great to hear from you...I have been wondering how things have been going for you.

Nik - Thanks for getting us set up for another week....Hope this week goes better for you and I completely understand about over doing it. I am so excited that you are going to have a shower at work that is great...I am still a little sad about not having one so I am glad that you get to at least have a small one :-)

Kaj- Are you headed to Atlanta this weekend? We had a great time.

Lisa - So glad to hear that your FIL is doing betters. Hope your appointment goes well today.

AFM - Dh and I had a great time in Atlanta but it is definitely getting harder to keep up. Our shopping at Babies R Us pretty much wiped me out but the good news is we were able to finish up our shopping so we are pretty much ready to go. The nursery is just about done just waiting for the last few pieces of bedding to come in as it was on back order and then it will be complete.

If anyone is interested in stocking up on diapers Babies R Us is having a great sale right now...their large boxes of 217 diapers are regularly $40.00 a box but you can print a coupon on line for $5.00 off each box you buy and then if you buy 3 boxes or any 3 P&G products you get a $15.00 gift card. Which brings the cost of the diapers down to $30.00 a box. They have more details about this promotion on their home page. The coupon for $5.00 off each is only good through the 20th...but the gift card promo runs through 4 March.

Nik- thanks for starting another weekly thread That's nice that you get an unexpected shower and sounds like you've made good progress on the nursery.

Lisa-glad your FIL is doing better. How'd your appt go yesterday? Sounds like a very nice V-day with DH

Barcelona- Glad you had such a great shower! My friend had twins 1.5 years ago and I remember during her shower she had to take a break from opening all the presents b/c she was just so tired. I can't believe you only have 5 more weeks. Just curious...how come you can't have the epidural?

GMT- glad you had a great get away and thanks for the tips on the diapers.

AFM, not much going on with me except the lack of sleep is killing me. Also I take a commuter rail to and from work and yesterday I was running late and ended up having to run as fast as I could through this large train station and up stairs/escalators to make my train. I was wearing my heavy winter coat and carrying my laptop bag and purse. I was so tired and out of breath when I reached the train.

Our nursery is painted but that's about it. We're getting some furniture from my SIL. The crib is in but we're waiting to have it delivered until April 1. We need to get a rug and I have to figure out what to do for a glider.

What are others doing for gliders?

Not much else to report. I'm still working out on the eliptical for 45 minutes 4x/week. Doc said it's fine.

Is anyone else still working out?

Lora
30weeks/3 days.

GMT - I'm not sure about the Atlanta trip this weekend. I would love to get away, but we just had new carpet put down on Monday in the bedrooms/hallway, and in preparation we had to move everything (any loose items not in drawers, everything from the floors of the closets, all of the baby stuff, etc.) into the living room. Now I am just really anxious to get things back in place and get her nursery together. We'll have all of the furniture by tomorrow, and her bedding came yesterday. So I want to get things set up and get started washing all of her clothes.

Lora - We ordered an upholstered glider and ottoman from our local baby boutique store. The furniture is made by Best Chairs in Indiana. Here is an example from an online site: http://www.mybabyscrib.net/bestchairs.html
We are getting the 'Jory' style chair with the pink fabric from 'Evita'

Have most of you chosen a pediatrician? We met with one yesterday for a new mom consult, and I think we are going to go with her.
