Loren- Glad you had a great time at your shower and got the $$$ you wanted + some presents.

SDE - sorry about all the BH...hope they ease up soon! I searched for that picture of Dixie's but couldn't find it.

Things are ok with me, though we've had some upsetting events transpire over the last week. We got a call that DH's mother had to have emergency abdominal surgery last week in FL. She's 75 but super healthy and extremely active....a very "young" 75. It turns out it was a puntured bowel which then led to an infection. We think the puncture was caused by a routine colonoscopy that she had a few days earlier. I won't go into details but things were very touch and go for awhile and it's going to be a long recovery. DH and his siblings took a last minute flight down there Wed and got back yesterday. We're all so upset and I just feel so terrible for DH. Not to mention that she is/was so excited about the baby and was planning to come up here for the Bris and then for another month in June. I don't see how that can possibly happen now.

Wishing, I believe the best way is to load pics to photobucket and then post the link. Can't wait to see pics, hope you are all doing better.

Lora, hopefully DH's mother will recover quickly, my MIL also just had abdominal surgery at the age of 75 and the recovery has been remarkably quick, wishing the same for yours.

This is Dante a soon after birth. They are putting him on Cpap to help breathing.

This is Declan he is having a little more trouble so they need to inflate his lungs for him and give him the surfactant shot.

wishing - Your babies are so precious! Their weights look great and the jaundice and breathing should clear up in no time. DH and I just took a tour at the ISCU unit here in Hosp. and your guys look geat for 30.5 wks, and twins to boot! Hang in there, try to get some rest, I'm thnking of you, Declan and Dante. They will be home before you know it!

I still recommend a bucket seat for the first 'while' -- but if you're looking at Britax seats... FYI

Britax car seats on sale at Amazon (maybe other online vendors too):

I recall that Britax has an online sale on its car seats twice a year (but can't find the earlier thread on the topic) -- I think it was Feb + Sept.

Amazon is currently having a sale through Feb 15th. I'm not in the market so I haven't checked other online vendors.

If you're in the market for a Britax you might want to do your homework.
