Erika.....I will be praying for you and your baby. I wish you weren't going through all of this. Just try and focus on relaxing and resting and getting that sweet baby to 30 weeks. {{{hugs}}}

Bottles..........I have already bought Playtex drop-ins, plus a friend of mine gave me a ton of playtex bottles, caps, and rings. I need to buy a few more nipples. I plan on formula feeding with Enfamil. I have been slowly buying 4 oz and 8 oz drop-ins for the bottles when I get to Walmart. I want to start slowly stocking up on diapers as well.

Onesies.......I have all short sleeve onesies. I plan on layering the baby, depending on the weather. If it is cool out, I will do a short-sleeve onesie under a long sleeve outfit. I don't want to overheat him.

erika - oh, I feel for you!! I'm so sorry you had to go thru that - I would have been terrified, too. Glad you're getting the attention you need & that baby BOY (!!!) is doing well. I know home is always more comfortable, but try to relax in the hospital & stay there as long as you can...you're with the people who can help you the best right now. Hang in there!

bottles - I registered for a Dr. Brown's starter kit. It has a few different size bottles, nipples w/ different hole/flow sizes, a bottle cleaner & maybe a few other things (I forget). I plan to b/f, too, but wanted something on hand, just in case. I know at some point I will try to pump enough to have back up bottles so dh and others can help with feedings. I went w/ Dr. Brown's based on recommendations from a few friends. I figure w/ 2 newborns I want the least amount of gas & spit up as possible! I also have friends who have used the Avent & Playtex drop ins w/out any complaints.

The only onesies I registered for are a few long-sleeve side-snap t-shirts (the kind that are easier to use before the umbilical cord falls off). Other than that, I've already received lots of short sleeve onesies. I plan to layer, too. I'm guessing my kiddos will arrive in March & it will be chilly here through April (at least!).

kaj - glad to hear you shower went well!

We are doing a weekend childbirth class (6 hours Sat, 3.5 hours Sun) this weekend. I'm hoping it is a good class...we'll see.
Also have an u/s & OB appt tomorrow evening. I can't wait to see the little ones! 3 weeks ago my OB said they should be about 2 pounds by this appt (26w). Looking forward to getting an update.

Movement - mine, too, is on & off. Yesterday was my 1st day back to work in 2 weeks & I hardly felt anything til I came home & laid on the couch. Late in the evening they fired up again & it eased my mind. It's hard to take everything in stride, but I try to tell myself that all is well.

Have a great day, everyone!
Heather

Hi Ladies,

My gosh, it looked so weird seeing the 1-5-09 heading. I can't believe it!! I remember at the beginning when the hours were crawling by and now, time is flying so fast it's crazy.

Erica- My prayers are with you. What a scare. I'm so glad everything is OK, and congrats on the BOY!!! Stay as long as possible ans try and relax if you can.

Have a great day all!

Amy

Erika- I'm so sorry you're going through this. It must be so scary but your prognosis sounds good. Congrats on your little man! Try to think on the positive side...you'll get a few extra weeks with your little man. This is all easy for me to say, but you've come this far and just have to make it a little bit longer. You can do it.

Hands- Yes, we'll miss you. I meant to write as soon as I saw your post. I'm sorry for your scare and totally understand taking an internet break.

Oh Erika - i'm so sorry! Sounds like you are finally getting good care and I'm so happy to hear that everything is going well. Are you going to be in the hospital for the rest of the time. We're thinking of you and praying that you make it through the next 3-5 days.

Many hugs to you!!

Anyone else "iced" in? We are getting a pretty constant downpour of sleet/freezing rain. The administrative offices at the college I work for closed for the day, so I am enjoying a "snow" day.

I would love to work on the baby's room.....but DH still has to move a few storage bins and a few other odds/ends out of there before I can really start sorting and organizing.

How is everyone else doing on their nursery?
