    Hi ladies!
Angel- you look great! I am afraid to have my pic taken at this point! DH wants to take a "belly shot" the morning before I deliver so I can look back at it later-we'll see as far as your random thoughts/worries go, we ALL have them! Last night i was like, what if they are wrong and one is a girl!!?? Well, i hope she likes blue and sports!

on the diaper issue-okay, so it WAS 5 years ago, but when i had DD the ONLY diaper that stayed put and didnt leak was the swaddlers. I did use these for a while, and then started her on whatever was on sale the swaddlers have a nice cut out for the umbilical cord and NEVER leaked. I had problems with the baby dri and even LUVS. Luvs actually sent me like 10 or 12 "checks" for free diapers because i complained to them! I am planning on using the swaddlers in the beginning (they have a preemie size) if my little twin needs that small. If you have a BRU or toysrus by you and sign up for the free rewards card (even online) once you buy 9 boxes of diapers the 10th is free-just some info so you know! Well, not much to report today. I have an OB appt tom, and i just hope all is good with my bp etc so he doesnt admit me! i NEED this last weekend to get ready!
    Have a great day everybody!

    Warning: Rant ahead!

Ooh, I forgot to tell you ladies what happened during my hospital tour last night. I am soooo ANNOYED with my MIL!!

So DH and I were doing our hospital tour last night and right before it started, the tour guide said "turn off your cell phones", and of course, DH didn't do that. So, guess who calls through the ENTIRE tour?? Yep my MIL!! She said her purse had just gotten stolen out of her car when she was making a "quick assessment" at a long term care facility. She places elderly people in care homes. First of all, who leaves their purse in their car? Especially during this lousy economy? Doesn't she know crime is up? Doesn't she know it only takes a second? UGH! So then DH asked her to call all of their joint credit cards (for the company they "own" together) and cancel them. Well, apparently she tried to do that but couldn't b/c she wasn't the primary card owner. So DH missed the WHOLE tour b/c he had to call and cancel all of their credit cards. What's worse is that my MIL had her social security card in her purse! I mean, who carries that around with them? Don't you have your number memorized?!? How old are you!?!?! So today she called DH crying and complaining that she didn't have any money and only 1/2 tank of gas, etc. etc.. so she's coming over later to get money from my DH. OMG!!! My DH is the parent!! It's soo annoying!!! I know I should feel badly for her, but I just don't. She pulls this stuff ALL the time!!

Okay, I'm done. Thanks for listening. We haven't had a MIL rant in a while. Ha ha.

about2bmom3- I'm getting the swaddlers too!

Angel and about2bmom3 - I'm freaking out that maybe they got the sex wrong too. Not only that, I'm freaking out that the fertility clinic implanted somebody else's embryo!! What the heck is wrong with me?!?

Elisia- sorry about your MIL- what a PAIN! Hehe on the embryo thing! DH actually said to me the other day- what if they used someone else's "sample" for the iui? I was like- thanks for putting THAT thought into my head!
Seriously, I know that there is NO way for that to happen (especially at my re's office, which is like freakin fort knox!) but of course, now i am thinking about it- because i am crazy and hormonal!

DH says all the time "the baby is gonna come out looking like the RE!" he thinks its a conspiracy or something. I told him thats fine, then maybe our kid will be super smart and become a dr and make lots of money! LOL

Elisia- Your MIL sounds like a pill. I would never leave my purse in my car even without the bad economy. But yes, that would have totally annoyed me.

about2bmom3- I think all sorts of crazy thought too, especially the one about the babies coming out looking like the RE. Haha

Angel- Your pic is too cute!

JoJo & Elisia- My babies use to be the same way. They would move ALL the time for me but as soon as DH or anyone else would try and feel my tummy they instantly stayed still. Haha It was so annoying because I wanted DH to feel them. The trick was to only touch it very lightly so they can't feel the weight of his hand. Now he feels them all the time. I think they instinctively would calm down when they felt any weight or pressure on my stomack.

AFM- Nothing too much new. Babies are doing great and growing so fast. They are now 3.5lbs and 3.2lbs and both head down. I'd say in the next 3 weeks or so they should be nice a plump. Trying to go as long as I can (or rather as long as the doctor says I can) before I go out on bed rest but I'm not sure how much longer that will be.

That's it for me. I'm going to go and get this last hour of sleep before its time for me to go to work.

Elisia-Oh my goodness! Your MIL... And the wrong embryo implanted...I kept thinking that when I had my twins 2 years ago and I keep thinking that again...lol.

Glad I'm not the only one with the "wrong embryo implanted" thoughts! I'm sure it's pretty normal to think that, but it's still a thought.
We have DS's Big Brother class/tour tonight. I can't wait! I really hope he's good. He has been super whiny and disobeys everything since this weekend. It's horrible! Last night, the whining and crying was gone, but he still wasn't listening. I'm hoping it will be better today.
The kids were MUCH better at drama rehearsal last night. Can't remember if I told you guys they were horrible last week. They kept talking and pushing each other around while we were trying to rehearse (4-6th graders). We decided that we weren't above bribery. So, we told them that if they didn't get out of hand more than 5 times last night, then they get to have a pizza party next Wednesday night. Now we have to buy pizza for 30 kids! Also, we told them that we would have a treat for them if they had their lines memorized by last night. All but 4 of them did! We handed out GIANT pixy sticks. Heeheehee - bet their parents LOVE us!
angel - cute belly pic You're right. You see the OB at first and then not until you're pushing.
about2bmom3 and mommyx2- You are going to have your babies in the next week - WOW!!!!
elisia - Sorry your MIL ruined your hospital tour. How frustrating!! I must admit, though... I leave my purse in the car all the time. I lock the car, but I hate carrying it around. I just put a debit card, license, cell phone, and the one car key in my pockets when I go to the mall or somewhere that I won't have a shopping cart to put the purse in. Sounds like she didn't even lock her car, though. She is a grown woman who should have been able to figure this out on her own, though.

    Fiona is here!

Sorry I have been out of touch for so long... I can't believe my little one has been here for almost a week. I think we've gotten about two hours since she's arrived but every bleary eyed second has been worth it. I'll post more later but here are the basic stats!!

Our little girl was born on 12/5/08 at 12:32 PM she weighed 6lbs 8ozs and was 20 inches. Her name is FIONA and she is WAY smaller than expected - they were predicting over 8lbs and even as I was about to start pushing my OB said I think she may be too big to get out this way, we may have to switch to plan B. I pushed for about thirty minutes and then she was here. I'll give you the full labor story and some pics tomorrow.

quick update, personals tomorrow.. xposted all over the place!

I had my regular checkup today! Everything is GREAT with Bella. Her heartbeat sounded good and strong, and I am measuring right on target... HOWEVER... I'm already 90% effaced and 1-2 cm dilated! The dr was actually very surprised... I told her i've had a few contractions but nothing that seemed to be regular, and that i do have lots of braxton hicks, but again, nothing regular. Well she said its probably not braxton hicks, that its probably pre-term labor! I have noticed my lower back hurting the past week or so, but I just figured i'm geting farther along and that is just something that comes along with the last month...

Anyways, now that I know what i've been feeling are contractions, i'm paying more attention to them. Still not regular (from what I can tell anyways) but i am noticing them now, at least that they are contractions and not just aches and pains. The dr said I am definitly NOT going to make it to my due date.. so its looking a lot like a Christmas baby! She even made a joke that she will see me on Christmas since she's the one on call that night! (there are 4 ob's in the ofice, so any of the 4 could deliver me).

So this weekend we have a birthing class, saturday and sunday. i really would like to wait until AFTER we get through the class, but if it happens during the class, thats fine because the class is at the birthing center where i plan to deliver.

You will also be happy to know that i PACKED MY HOSPITAL BAG.. finally. and also the baby's bag too. well, i'm off to let more people know. =) We are super excited and nervous now.. it all seems too real!

LCNJ - Yeah!!! Welcome little Fiona!!!!!!!! And congrats to you!!!!! Please update us with more tomorrow. Inquiring minds want the DETAILS!! Ha ha.

Angel - OMG!!! I can't believe you are 90% effaced and 1-2 cm dilated!! Holy cow!! I'm pretty sure you're gonna deliver before me b/c I haven't had ANY contractions. No Braxton-Hicks, nothing!! Why do I have this crazy feeling I'm actually gonna deliver late? Ay, yay, yay. Anyway, congrats! Keep us posted!!

Jojo- Be careful about leaving your purse in your car. Not only is the economy bad but it's the holiday season too. People get desperate and can break your window. Even if nothing is in your purse, you're still stuck fixing a window which is not cheap! Just looking out for you girlie.

AFM - Thanks for all of your support on the MIL front. I think I'm over it now, but I'm dreading having to see her again this weekend for my "family" shower. Ugh. And that's funny that you all are having the same concerns as me regarding the wrong embryo. Ha ha. I'm glad I'm not the only one and I do believe it's very normal.

Hope everyone else is well!!! We are ALL GETTING SO CLOSE!!!!!
