Tender/Irritated Va-Jay-Jay (TMI)

OK All -

Forgive me if this is TMI - but I've never done this preggo thing before and I know the changes and hormones can be crazy on theb ody!

So a few days ago I get these little irritation bumps on my inner labia. Went to OB and she said they are nothing serious (no std) and it just looks like it is irritated or chapped. She gave me some cream and I've used it for about 2 days...the bumps are gone - but in the shower the area burns as well as the inside of the inner labia....very tender!

Sound familiar to anyone ??? I was thinking it might be hormones cause I have made no changes to anything. Sometimes when my panties rub up against the area it hurts/burns.

change soap - don't rub it with a washcloth or loofah and dont put soap directly on it - rather let the soapy water run over you and just use your hands to clean it. I'm thinking the rash was there too and probably just in a healing phase - you may have irritated it with the cream (rubbing it on and whatnot). I would say switch to something very mild as well.

You're not still using any kind of progesterone inserts are you? I noticed that I am getting irritated from wearing pantyliners all the time due to the mess that the Endometrin creates!

oh i didnt think about the pads! I change mine all the time - everytime i pee! i'm just so disgusted with the discharge.. ew. And DH wants to DTD - but i'm too grossed out by the mess. Maybe when i am off the endometrin..

I agree! There will be no DTD while on the Endometrin...gross!

I'd get chapped and in pain due to the discharge. Honestly, it helps to get maternity undies or for a while I wore DH's(I know, we're weird, but it does help, helps with the C-section incision too). Even though the undies feel like they fit, somehow they don't really and you don't even realize it until you wear something bigger.

Nope- I'm not on the prometrium and stopped using the pads (which yes- I had to go through like 4 per day ) This started ever since I stopped the prometrium...weird! Maybe it is the soap and/or panties..........I just wish it would get better so that I stop worrying about possible infection and what not

well it could be a reaction to it - even though you stopped it. sometimes you have to build up so much - and then finally your body will 'fight back'.

I'm still thinking you should switch soaps - and i like the idea of buy maternity or even just a size bigger undies. when do you see the dr again?
