Cupid Club - Week Aug 20th

Morning ladies
Hi everyone..how was the weekend and how is everyone feeling. I am good. The shower was so fun and VERY overwhelming at the same time...there were about 48 people there and about 62 were invited so you CAN IMAGINE all the stuff we have! A TON!
it was a long day..I will post pics in a bit if I can...food and all was good! I paid for all the moving around last night...
I highly suggest that twin moms have showers before 30 weeks if possible!

Carla

Carla- I'm glad you had a wonderful time.

My weekend was pretty boring...not much going on.

Love the pics Carla! Where did you have it? It looks like a huge room!

My friend's bridal shower went off without a hitch and I managed to look like an absolute saint! I love it! LOL! She loved my gift and opened it last, getting so many ooohhs and aaahs. I have never been thanked more in my life by her. It was pretty amazing, since she's pretty much been a Bridezilla since she got engaged over a year ago. Yesterday was no bueno, cuz DH and I both felt icky and were snipping and snapping at each other all day. Oh well.

Brandie, I saw the link you posted on last weeks thread and I just have to say that I love some of these onesies. The "Poops I did it again" is hilarious! I also love the one that says "high maintenance" Too Funny!

Good morning ladies (btw: I HATE mondays)!

Carla - I am so glad that you had a wonderful time at your shower & got so much loot!

Suz - Congrats on pulling off such a wonderful shower for your bridezilla...I am so glad that everything went off w/o a hitch so now you can focus all of your time on your little one!

Brandie - That link is really great!

As for me, the weekend was nice, but so hectic w/ all of our company and the Sat. night shower. Overall, it was a weekend full of late nights & I woke up this morning simply exhausted. But, we had a really great time, so I guess it was worth it!

I guess my biggest gift was the Mia Bossi diaper bag 2 of my girlfriends bought me. It was a really generous gift & something I never would have gotten myself, but it IS pretty fabulous!

Okay, back to work. Have a great day everyone!

Wow Sreed what a unique looking diaper bag. very cute> i have never heard of that, but then again I am not that "up" on bags!
that was a very generous gift for two people to get at $365 total.

I was amazed at how generous people were...lots of toys, books, diapers, ALL big items, towels, OUTFITS.
I got target gift card, $240 babies r us, $250 checks, and $20 to Tj Max...so a lot of things~

So Carla... what else do you need.....

I'm already thinking about packing a bag for the hospital. I'm making a list to get things I may need.

S Reed- Love the bag.. one of my girlfriends sent me a pic of that bag... She said if she had the money she would of bought it.... is it roomy

Suz- Let's say me and DH had a whole weekend of bickering.....again another Joy of Pregnancy they forget to warn you about.

Carla, looks like you had a beautiful shower. Thanks for posting the pictures.
S.Reed - I can't believe your diaper bag! It's very stylish, who knew they even had such things?
Suz - glad things went well at your 2nd job - the bridal shower!
Brandie - the booties are awesome and that site had some hilarious items on it.

We went to the beach this weekend and I actually went out and saw a live band on Fri. night and stayed up until 2 am! We spent all day Sat. at the beach and the weather was perfect.

Still working on those home improvement projects to get everything ready. I have an appt. with a day care place tomorrow and they already have a waiting list for February! I found a pediatric practice very close to home that I'm looking into as well. Now if only I could finish my registry!

Wow Laura - I am impressed w/ all of your preparations! We absolutely NEED to start coming up w/ a day care/nanny plan, of course that would be easier if my work would actually discuss my leave w/ me (grrr!). I am really scared of finding out that the wait lists are like 2-3 months long, b/c if it ends up that I get minimal leave (w/o having any family in town) I am not sure what we will do with her...hmm...must get on it....
