What chance do I have with one tube

I am quite sure that some one tere knows how Ifeel .I am wondering what are my chances of having a normal pregnancy with one tube, myfirst isthe one iwanted i named the baby and everything i am still hung up about it i have been trying to conceive naturally but nothing ever gave me a positive result other than when i took clomid in a way i am terrified of that drug but at the same time it has made me feel like a woman .I am 29 and I have been trying to have a baby with my high school sweetheart now my husband for years' when we finally thought we were going to experience parenting along came my tubal pregnancy.I have any more confidence that i would ever have kids.

Hi there,
Well I am here to say to you I have been pregnant 10 times with just one tube!!! So it won't make a bit of difference. I lost my tube in 1991 due to an ectopic pregnancy and have since given birth two times and also adopted a baby girl in 1999. We are in the process of ttc #4.
Best of luck to you!!

Well...you definitely have plenty of chance with just one tube. I only have one "side." The tube and ovary are there but neither is functional as a result of radiation for cancer. I got pregnant for the first time in June 05. It was ectopic in my ONE tube. I managed to get pregnant a second time via IUI in September 05 and am currently 29 weeks preggo.

You've been through so much, but please don't be disheartened about the future. You have every chance in the world!! I have only one functioning tube, and I conceived (naturally, and for the first time ever) in January, at the age of 42!! This was within 12 months of a laparoscopy, during which they cleared one of my tubes. I had been ttc for almost 4 years before I had the exploratory surgery, and had no idea I had problems. Also, one of my sisters-in-law was in her mid 30s when she conceived the first of her two beautiful girls, also with only one tube. Having one tube is no reason to lose faith, honestly. At 29 you have so much time, and no reason at all to lose faith. Good luck!!

Trini - I have only one functioning tube (the other is blocked) and I just found out I'm pg after my second IUI with Clomid. Please don't give up hope! It can happen - there are lots of women on these boards who can attest to that

I'm new to this board, I just found out this week that I'm pg! I'm a little concerned anout my Beta #. My 1st was 460 and then two days later was 1,134. Is this normal for it to be so high? Is there a chance for mult's?
I was also wondering if anyone has had alot of bathroom troubles. I'm either one or the other... sorry if tmi.....

Hi Jacoby,

sorry I can't be of any help re: your Beta #, but all kinds of bathroom issues are common in pregnancy. Not sure exactly what you mean by "either one or the other", but pee-ing frequently is very common (also it can start much earlier than I realised), and also changes in bowel habits. Apologies in advance for the TMI, but I had constipation quite early in the pregnancy. It resolved itself quite quickly (although I am eating a lot of fruit, which probably helps), but since then, well, lets just say things are quite different than they were pre-pregnancy. OK, just different. Hope that is reassuring. Cheers.

PS - TMI doesn't bother me, and I don't mind sharing more information, but I don't want to make anyone ill.

I just wanted to share with you that after my 2nd ectopic I lost my left tube. I felt the same way as you.. I was like if I O on my right side everyother month then that means I will only have 6 chances a year. Then I was factoring in trying to time BMS w/ an O and I was really really sad and just thought my chances were over.. I got pg 3xs off of 1 tube (The first 2 times was in my damaged tube... It's not likely that my odds of bad luck will happen to you, I did not have a normal pg due to 2 mc and one last ectopic that ruptured and lost my last tube as well.... I thought at that point I was finished.. I just did a IVF cycle that was a BFN then we did a FET and it is a BFP!!! My point is, at every turn I just knew my number was up and it turns out that I did get pg from one tube and I did survive both tubes getting removed and then survived a BFN on the IVF..
Your chances are way better than what you can even imagine.. Trust me, if it were based on the faith in my fertility I would have given up a long time ago.. You have so much hope... I hope you can see that it isn't over and keep your sprits up.
I wish you the very best, Good Luck!!!!
~Rhonda
