Gift for RE?

Hello everyone,

This is our second pregnancy using IVF/ICSI with our same RE and we got him a really great gift when we were released to our OB/GYN the first time but I can not think of anything to get him this time? I am baffled? Please help with any ideas you may have. I am also looking to get my In-Vitro Coordinator something also. My Re is a male and the Coor. is a female. I appreciate your help.

Thanks,
InvitroMom (Sharon)

We had flowers delivered to the staff with everyone including the embryoligsts name on it because they all were a big part of it and I couldnt figure out how to do all other than that...

Very good question! We too have done ICSI #1 and i am 18w. we were also thinking of giving a gift after delivery, b/c i am still with them. For all the IVF/ICSI they will do the delivery with them only. So, we don't have any good ideas yet. Could be just flowers and huge cake for all the staff, but for RE may be:

Watch (a good brand)
Laptop
or a ticket to Malaysia, Haiti, or some exotic country. dont' know yet.

Would love to have ideas.............

Hi there ladies.

I've been ttc #1 for almost 5 years and am in the 2ww of my first IVF with ICSI. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant yet (got a few faint ++ hpts, but beta is on Friday), but I'm poking around here anyway (hopeful!).

Anyway, dh and I decided if we do get a bfp, we are going to send the RE's office a basket from Harry and David. They have all kinds of options and usually include fruit, snacks and candies. I know most Dr.'s offices love food! Maybe you should try that and you can order on line at on-line at harryanddavid.com. Good Luck in your search.

We also considered giving a gift. We wanted to do flowers or a gift basket from harry and david (LOVE them!) but somehow, we forgot all about it. I at least wanted to send them a thank you card for all of their wonderful support, but I never got around to it.
We have a 4D, high depth ultrasound scheduled in May. The RE's office told me that they wanted to see a pic of the baby, so I thought I would send a card with a copy of the ultrasound picture enclosed.
I guess i still could send a gift basket for their kindness. No one turns their nose up at food (fruit or candies), no matter how late the gift comes.

I took them a big box of Ethel M chocolates. I will likely repeat once the babies arrive!
