So I got a call yesterday from a local health care provider asking me to interview for a position. Of course I got really excited, until they told me that it was going to pay almost $10,000 less than what I am making now.![]()
She was really nice and understood that I couldn't take that kind of a pay cut. So she said that she would pass my resume on to their executive offices and when something opened up there they would give me a call.
(Fast forward to today) I got a phone call from the executive offices asking me to come in for an interview on Monday. They are willing to stay late so that they can interview me. I am really excited. It's another position that is 15 min from home and they are a really busy office. The great thing is that they are a really big medical insurance company in LA, this position is salary and the starting pay is more than what I am making now. Anything right now is good since I will once again get free insurance and won't be paying as much for gas since it's really close. My only concern is that they do have days that I would have to stay late and if anything that would mean paying a bit more for D's daycare cause I would be unable to get her by the 6 pm cut off time. I am sure that I can figure something out (i.e. working through lunch). The bad thing is that it's RIGHT AT OUR LOCAL OUTLET MALL!!Temptation is going to be so bad. I am strong though. I know that I can do it. I am really excited about this. So keep me in your thoughts and prayers for Monday. I am going to get re-acquainted with Access over the weekend and get some practice with my Spanish. It's different when you are talking to family and friends. When is comes to speaking to co-workers I get nervous.
Oh yeah, still haven't heard back on the University position that I went to 2 weeks ago. You would think that they wouldn't want to torture me by making me wait this long to hear that they didn't want to offer the job to me.![]()

Nisa,
This sounds like a potential winner! The fact that they are willing to interview after-hours...
Many positive thoughts for a successful interview!
