n/p Am I really this stupid or just an old f*rt re: ITunes!

I am so not a computer whiz that is for sure. Neither is dh! Yes, what a combo!!! LOL! Anyway, I can't figure out Itunes! UGH! I have an mp3 player that I have never used... still in the box... So, yesterday I had some time and I firs downloaded the software for amazon MP3 files. I did that but I could not download the dumb song! I bought the song but it did not prompt me to download it anywhere! I did get a free song but it said I was not connected to the internet. I gave up and went to Itunes. I downloaded that successfully but I can't figure out how to put songs in the file. Plus, they don't have a lot of music that I've been looking for. I thought Itunes had everything??

If you have an MP3 player is it REALLY compatable with Itunes? I'm so frustrated right now I'm just thinking of selling the MP3 player (which is a really nice one with movie capacity) because I just can't figure it out! YUCK!

I don't even own one. I won a Dell DJ ditty a couple of years ago and DH claimed it as his own.

I think I will ask my niece or my teen age babysitter! I love the whole concept of the MP3 players it would be great for when I go to the gym. If I could just figure it out!!! Most of my friends have dh's that do all that stuff for them! Grrrrrrrrrrr

Oh I feel your pain! Mark gave me an ipod years ago for my birthday. I didn't even know what the stupid thing was! Once I started using it and I wanted to add songs to it I would just hand him a list and the ipod and voila! Like magic the songs showed up. I was sooo up a creek when he died. My then 13 yo niece had to school me on using iTunes.

But I have no clue how to use iTunes with an MP3 player that's not an ipod....sorry!

I don't do it often, because DH does it for me. He always has to re-show me how. But I have an Ipod.

I don't find Itunes user friendly whatsoever. I like being able to download songs and such a cool invention but as for using it and getting them on the ipod...thats another story. I manage to do it but I don't know how?? Also I wanna just put the new songs on there and it will download everything again...and also have songs that I never purchased show up in my Itunes one day...I dunno?? Drives me crazy...anyone know how to delete all that is on my ipod so that I can just download everything once on it?? lol

I've used itunes for a long time, but only with ipods. So, I'm not sure how it works with other MP3 players. I find itunes to be very user friendly. I'm always on there updating my ipod, my phone, dh's ipod and phone and Andrew's ipod.

Do you have music ON your computer that you are trying to move into your itunes library? Or are you trying to buy songs?

I'm trying to buy songs. I don't have any music downloaded and can't figure out how to do it.

You just click on buy song. It will be stored on your hard drive of your computer. When you plug in your mp3, it will show up on the side menu. Click on that and you can customize what you want to put ON the mp3 from your itunes account. Buying a song is one click. You can do it, Karin.
