Just for the record, I think this whole recital thing is a bit much. The cost is silly and a recital for 6 year olds at 7:30pm is just wrong. However, it is so adorable.Thought you'd like to see our little ballerina.

Monica, I just want to eat her up. One of these days I'm going to have to meet your little Lily. She always remind me of what my little Lily would be like. She is beautiful!!!

Beautiful!!!!!
How long has she taken ballet? Arianna took baby ballet this past year. I'm trying to decide what to sign her up for this year. I'm leaning towards ballet because when she dances it is always ballet moves. At her recital she sat with me during most of the recital (back stage is too busy to take care of 3 yr olds) and the only dances she really watched were the ballet numbers.
I agree with you about these recitals!!!!Lisa

Very cute. But I agree about the recital thing. That is one of the main reasons my girls don't take dance (besides cost and time).

She's only taken ballet this one year. Recital was optional, but she really wanted to do it. I think I'm going to move her to another dance studio in fall. She took at our gymnastics gym and that's their focus. SHe loves ballet and I'd like to see her in a class with a better teacher.

She is so beautiful!!
Campbell's ballet studio doesn't really charge that much - and they lend the costumes every year so we didn't have to buy. They do one performance at 1PM, and one at 7PM - so the little girls can be in the one at 1PM. It's still a hassle - the rehearsals always ran late, but she had so much fun it was worth it.
