About LinkBacksMy SIL had a biopsy done of one of her lymph nodes to see if she has this. She has been having a lot of strange symptoms - pain in her arm, numbness in her neck, heartburn/chest pains. She was so afraid that she was having problems with her heart but they tested her extensively and that is not it. They did see somewhat enlarged lymph nodes and the dr is now suspecting sarcoidosis. It is a auto-immune disease. I have never heard of it - just wondering if any of you had?
We find out later this week the results - I am not even sure if I want it to be + or -. Part of what has been hard about this is that her symptoms were a bit vague that people were not taking her very seriously, but she feels sure that something is WRONG, kwim?

I've never heard of it. I hope they can diagnose her soon. Sounds scary!

I actually saw a show on TLC called Mystery Diagnosis and this was one of them. I don't remember that much but maybe you could look on TLC and watch the show or atleast read some about it. I am so sorry and hope she gets some answers

It seems I've heard the condition before but really don't know anything about it.

I haven't heard of it either. I'm so sorry she's having these symptoms. I hope she's okay!

Thanks everyone. She is concerned of course about what is wrong, but she is feeling very relieved that she does not have a heart condition that could strike at any moment. I will let y'all know what we find out.
