I have checked several of the Playgroups BB's and there seems to be very little posting and the posts that are there have many views but not much response. DS #1 was born in 2001 so I just thought I check this out.... and well there are no posts!!!!
I'll start!! DS just turned 6 and he is loving Kindergarten. They make learning fun... hope it stays that way!!! He is not into sports at all but we are still having him play one sport a semester so he can get an introduction and perhaps see which sport suits him best. Maybe he is not meant to play basketball or baseball but soccor seems pretty easy. We'll see.
He does not like writing so he is having an OT come to school to work with him. His writing seemed to go downhill from 1st semester to this last semester. But when I have had him write something at home that he wants to do: ie. my birthday present list for DH or list of snacks to buy at the grocery.... he writes much neater-LOL! I think it's all about motivation and perhaps there is some trouble with hand eye coordiation and fine motor skills.
DS is an avid reader and likes the Bailey Boys, Freddy Thresher, and Cam Jansen series. He loves constructing with Kinex and Tinker Toys and puttng together these ugly Bionicles! He doesn't like sports but he LOVES to ride his bike down hills, enjoys whizzing around on his scooter, and loves to jump on my 30 year old trampoline!!!
Ok, anyone else out there?
