Metformin question

Just wondering about taking Metformin with food - is that instruction because its just easier on your stomach, or is there a medical reason why you should take it with food? Sometimes I forget to take it with dinner and then take it without food before bed...is this bad?

No, I don't think there is a medical reason. I think it is just to make things easier on your stomach. I took mine w/food sometimes and w/o food other times and really it seemed to make no difference regarding stomach issues. I think you are fine taking it w/o food.
