Clomid and CD question

Why is that I see some dr's prescribe day 3-7 and some 5-9...Can anyone explain what the pro or cons are to 3-7 or 5-9?

thanks
Sheila

I wish I knew somthing about it.
I have taken Clomid 1-5 ,2-6, 3-7, and 5-9
It never work well for me at all.
The only cycle it helped me out maybe was when I took it 1-5 and it was in combo with Repronex inj.
I wish I could answer the question I just do not know
Maybe someone else does.

My doctor explained it to me once and I THINK I remember what he said. Taking it cd3-7 produces more follicles but taking it cd5-9 produces a more mature follicle of higher quality. In my case I was not responding consistently on cd5-9 so the doc switched me to cd3-7. I usually get 1 mature follicle on 150mg of Clomid
