The Pill for PCOS??? (everything ment)

Even though it took IF treatments to get pregnant (and stay pregnant), I don't want to take any chances, so I figure I better go on some sort of bc, as there is no way my body could handle another pregnancy so soon. I'm leaning towards going on the pill, as I don't want to do anything permanent, and was wondering if there is one that is better for those of us with PCOS? Way back before I knew I had issues I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclin Lo, but don't know if they even make that one anymore.

I did get pregnant once on my own before being diagnosed with PCOS but had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. I honestly think the PCOS was the reason for the miscarriage, and being on metformin was what kept me pregnant the last time. This is one of the main reasons why I don't want a "surprise" pregnancy for fear of having another miscarriage, since I am not on metformin anymore. (RE said I only needed it for TTC).

I was on Ortho Tri .. wait let me check.....Yepp.. they still make the Ortho Tri Lo... ( I work for a pharamcy) I wanted to try the Low... but I wanted a generic. I have been on that stuff since before it was a generic!

I would talk to your Dr.. but if that had worked in the past.. then I dont know it shouldnt know!

After DS was born, I actually did not get on anything... we just were mindful of any fertile signs.. which really were not there.. lol

Good Luck!

Ferret - Did you temp during that time you weren't really trying to TTC?? That is the one thing I don't want to do again. I became so obsessed with temping, that my RE made me throw out the thermometer and just rely on ultrasounds and bloodwork. lol
