Question Health Concerns fr: old IF'er - urgent.

Hi! It;s been a few years since I've been here - more since ttc. Thankfully I keep up with a few old friends from here with email, facebook etc - so I should remember some acronyms ;-)

I have some concerns re: treatments/affects from my younger years with IF, IUI, IVF, the drugs etc.

It's been about 7 years since I have done any treatments, and I had noticed post IF treatments that I began growing neck hair, dark, long, coarse. My hair above lip, pnce light blonde and thin has turned coarse, dark as well. I figured it was age.

Last yr. I had a very unusual extra period about 14d post my regular cysle. (Cycles are spot on for 20 yrs since menses btw)

Then on month I missed my cycle, about 3 months after the extra one I got.

This month I got another extra cycle, a full 5d like the one last yr.

I google and search (bc Canadian health care is NOT good, and the internet is the best place to look to begin with), and I get PCOS, Polyps, fibroids, etc.

Last yr. I also had a full work up to determine why I had stomache pain, chest pain, twinges in the ovaries and of course the irregular periods. They determined about 6 times that I was not Pg, but nothing else. Seemed it was an odd occurace - without a diagnosis.

Now - it's returned.

The stomache is a stress induced ulcer I am sure. The chest is anxierty I am sure bc all other tests come back negative - so i am left with post IF issues, and back here to ask......

anyone else have this stuff??

Irregular periods (I am 35)
abnormal and increasing hair growth (face, neck etc)

Sheesh....I thought this stuff was behind me ;-)

Any help where to begin asking questins of the Dr. when i see him is of great help!

Thanks ladies!!

Sym

PCOS I have read can give you abnormal hair growth and abnormal period issues if not treated. Are you seeing a Dr for the PCOS?
