Anyone doing timed intercourse cycle June 09

Hi I am 28 (DH 32) and trying to concieve our second child. Our dtr was born in 2006 and was concieved with clomid 200mg and metformin. So far this time around we have tried clomid 200mg (did not ovulate), and one cycle of follistim (cancelled due to poor response). Now we are trying letrazol (femara) for five days then starting follistim. I am taking the first one tonight. I don't know if there is much difference between the success rates with IUI vs timed intercourse, but my insurance does not cover fertility treatments so we are limited in what we can afford. Wish us luck, and good luck to all of you currently struggling with IF.

I'm taking a break this month from 50 mg clomid and doing timed intercourse.I think the success rate of iui is something like 15-20%.Not very high.It works for some and for some it takes IVF.Some luck up and it happens on a natural cycle. You never know until you try something.Lots of luck to you this cycle.

Tina- thanks for the encouragement. it looks like this cycle is going to be a bust. they can't get my follicles to grow and labs to improve. they really upped my follistim dose as a last ditch effort and if there is no change by sunday then another cycle will be cancelled. good luck to you too!!!

We did clomid, metformin and timed intercourse, never worked for us. Were onto injectables and IUI. Hopefully it works for you.
