Update ( pg ment )

Today at 5am had a little very light pink on the TP . Called the Dr. they said come in to be safe . We did blood work , pelvic and ultrasound . All came back FINE ! Ultrasound showed me at 6w1d . Heartbeat at 120bpm . Due date 12~25~09 . The pinkish spotting was my cervix closing . So no biggie according to the Dr. .... Nothing all day now . So a very good sign . My ultrasound was set up for thursday May 7th . But we just had it today . My OB still wants to repeat on May 7th , so I can have my pictures lol . So we are not as far along as they originally thought , But most importantly , our baby looks healthy and we seen the heartbeat !!! Something we've never been able to see before with my other pregnancy losses . I'm very excited . I'm doing bed rest .... for like 6 weeks ! I'm taking NO chances . YES , I might be a lil paranoid . Please keep the prayers coming . We need all we can get . Oh , still taking 1000mg of met & vitimins . Is that enough met ?

Thanks everyone !
Michele

Been there

Hi Michele,

when I was in my first trimester I had the same issue, a little pink here and there and then one day bright red blood, I was so scared, but every time I went to go see my OB everything was fine (I must have had about 5 sonos during my pregnancy), he would put me on bed rest for a few weeks and then it was all fine, it was though because I'm a nurse and must work on my feet 12 hr shifts, but it all turned out just fine, my daughter was born healthy and beautiful. I was taking 1500mg met (750mg of the extended release twice a day), but that's what I was taking before I got pregnant and during my last trimester I was weaned down to 500mg a day and during the last 3 wks I was off of it (my OB was concerned with increased bleeding during the delivery).

Congratulations on your baby! Relax, rest and have faith!

Also, my RE warned me that when you have the vaginal ultrasounds done, be prepared for some light spotting in the days following. Thankfully she warned, me because after my first ultrasound, I had a bit of pink spotting the following day. I didn't get put on bedrest until about 27 weeks along, and that was due to blood pressure issues. I took 1500mg of met for the first 13 weeks, and then was told to stop. I've taken my pre-natal vitamins throughout.

Good luck and try to relax and enjoy this special time!

Dawn

Woo-Hoo what a strong hb on that little one!! So glad the spotting wasn't an issue. I don't think anyone who has experienced IF doesn't have major paranoia when they finally get pregnant! I will be sending lots of positive thoughts that you have a very happy and healthy 9 months!
