Anyone else have this problem when sleeping

My doctor even says I got the raw deal. I am 31. I am not obese, but I am overweight. I have type 2 Diabetes and PCOS as well as disc degenerative disease. I have had occasions where I was sleeping and I kicked my leg in such a way that I sprained my calf to the point I could feel the large knot in the muscle. I've done this maybe 3-4 times in my life and always with my right calf. This morning as usual, I was sleeping with the pillow between my legs when somehow I popped my left leg in the wrong way. I don't know how but it felt like I tore a muscle on my inner left thigh and the pain extended through my entire leg down to the toes. It was around 8:00AM and now it is nearly noon and my entire left leg feels swollen still. I think I just sprained it but this seems so ridiculous to me how easily I sprained it in such a painful manner. Has this ever happened to you or someone you know?

P.S. I am currently on cycle day 7 taking 100mg of Clomid for superovulation

At first I thought it may be restless leg syndrome. But, I don't think that causes actual injuries. My grandmother and my Dad both have RLS and their legs jerk during sleep but not to the extent that yours seem to be doing. Has your DR. mentioned this before??

Maybe add some bananas to your diet. I've had some funky middle of the night leg movement resulting in severe leg cramps, which are infrequent, and it gets better with a banana a day (potassium). Good luck!

I agree with Sarah. Eating a couple of bananas a week does wonders for me, also lots of water drinking. I am terrible at drinking enough water but I notice that it does help me sleep better and my legs don't cramp as bad..

Thanks I do need to improve on my water intake. I will try the bananas or perhaps find something similar with less sugar
