I'm now A God Parent

It was a grand honour when my cousion who just found out is going to have a baby and is a month along now told dh and me that she and her husband would like for us to be God parents in their will legally.

What a profound Christmas present!

We feel very loved that she would of even thought of us she said out of all their family we were only ones she thought would rasie the kids up right in the Lord if something should happen to them.

I was so upset last month when was frist told she was to have a child it is still hard but I'm so happy for them and she looks so beautiful with a baby in her tummy.

This is the exact same thing I would look for in godparents for my children one day. In my opinion there is nothing more important to me than to know my children would be raised in a home that taught them the beliefs my dh and I find important. Material things will be provided for them through our life insurance money left to them (grim thought, but true none-the-less), but you can't put a price on their moral upbringing...

It is an honor that my dh and I take very seriously with all of the godchildren (9 so far - almost all are our nieces and nephews too). It's an honor that your cousin thinks so much of you
