Question clomid/estradiol/prochieve

Has anyone tried the clomid, estradiol (estrogen) and prochieve (progesterone) combo? and has it worked? I'm trying this regimen this cycle: clomid 100 mg cd3-7 then estradiol cd8-12 and lastly prochieve cd17 and beyond. I'd love to hear any info or success stories. Thanks!

Val

Sorry, I haven't done that. I was just diagnosed with PCOS in December and began metformin. I am making an appt tomorrow to go back to the RE and we'll add a med (something like clomid but it's not--can't remember what it was). Best wishes to you, sounds like a great plan to me!

Val,
I did the estrogen part after Clomid but not the Progesterone Gel. I never O'd so I don't know if it worked or not. Sorry I'm not much of a help! I just wanted you to know that the estrogen is to help prevent miscarriages as I'm assuming the Prog is for also. It's not uncommon from what I understand to have an estrogen supplement rx for after clomid. Sorry I'm not more of a help. Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone and as frustarted as we get with our Dr's sometimes because we're not sure they know what they're doing, it sounds like this is what he should be doing...

Thanks Kelly!

I really hope it does help decrease the chance of miscarriage because I'm still recovering emotionally from my last miscarriage in 2/04. I never realized before how quickly you bond to the little peanut growing inside you so when he/she is gone you realy feel it. Well, take care and thanks...

Smile Have tried it

Hi,
I tried that same combination and it worked!!! I had tried clomid for 5 cycles before that with no hope. I went up to taking 200 mg. I changed docs and he told me just to try this. I did this with 100 mg and i ovulated. I didn't get pregnant but i ovulated. So that was a start. So it worked for me
