Finally starting clomid....RE very positive?!

I just had my first visit with my RE on 1-10-05, i was seeing a regular Endo up until then. I am on Metformin 2000mg a day and lots of vitamins right now. When i saw my RE, he did some blood tests, and a pap since i hadnt had one since '03. He talked to DH and i and said that he is going to start me on clomid, but i have to take provera first to induce AF, since i havent had one in 8 months. My RE said that we have over 90% chance that we will get pregnant with the clomid, and he made sure to tell us that it wasnt just some number he was throwing out to us, that he really felt that way. Has anyone else who started clomid had those kinds of numbers, percent wise, from the RE. I just feel like its too good to be true. I felt like i was going to have to go through so much more than that to get my miracle. Well I'm only on day 2 of the provera, 10mg for 5 days, but i am so excited thinking i could be pregnant very soon. I keep thinking of the Over 90% he told us. I will take clomid cd 5-9....i havent been able to say cycle in so long....its wierd. I have not O'd in a long time, but i have talked to women who have only O'd a few times in there life and they got pg the first round of clomid. We are going natural though, no IUI , just BMS. I'm not sure if those women did natural though. Well any info will help. THANKS!!

Hi Lotsa...I'm so excited for you! My dr never gave me a percentage, but I told her that I was gonna give her until April to get me knocked up or I'm going to another dr. LOL Right now I'm on 1000mg of metformin and 100mg of clomid. Just finished second clomid cycle and waiting to see if I ovulate. I don't know if I have ever ovulated or not.

I'll keep you in my prayers, keep me posted on how things are going.

Hello Lotsababydreams. I hear ya. I started the clomid/metformin combo this month as well. I use the clear blue easy fertility monitor, so I can tell you that I ovulated this month for the first time since last April!!! I took clomid on the same days as you will, and I ovulated on days 21-22. I am waiting unitl next weekend to take hpt. I am praying every night. Good luck to you.

Hi Misty.....don't know if sore boobs are from clomid or not, it's never happened to me, but I DO know that sore boobs are one of the symptoms of AF being on the way...or.....PG! Keep us posted. Baby dust to you!!!!!!

Hey guys...So how are your cycles going so far. I ended up having to take the clomid on cds 6-10 because of it not getting to my house in time...(they had it sent to me). But i'm on cd 11 now. I dont think my first month experience was too bad, i got a headache the first night, and after that i felt fine. I'm reading so much on the internet about prediction ovulation, cervical mucous, and cervix position and BBT. . . I'm getting myself confused!!!!! I'm so glad to hear that you guys ovulated on clomid/met. It makes me feel so much more confident!!!
Let us know what comes out of your 2ww....BFP to YOU ALL!!!!!

Oh yeah...my boobs onlly hurt a little, only on the first day...but it varies with everyone. I'll keep temping and hope i O this month..!!!!!!

BABY DUST TO EVERYONE:stickyvib :stickyvib :stickyvib :stickyvib

Hi all..

Thanks so much for responding...this might sound weird..but if your PG and your boobs hurt.should it be your actual boob..or your nipple? Sorry about being so graphic..but i am a little weirded out that my nipples are bothering me so much...:O(

Anyway hope all is well with everyone i am on day CD 22 and am so anxious to test..

Talk to you soon!!

Baby Dust to all...

Hi oatey. I was having the same question earlier myself. My breasts frequently become sore (the whole breast) a week or so before AF is due to arrive. This month I took clomid days 5-9 w/ metformin and I ovulated on days 21-22 of my cycle this month. About 8 days past ovulation, my breasts once again became very tender. 4 days later, it is starting to go away and still no AF!! I'm hoping as well that it means good news. I will probably test sometime this weekend! Good luck to you. Let us know how it goes!!
