this coach is a little unorganized. they posted the team roster on monday but never told the team they when they were to practice.
i emailed the coach monday night and tuesday morning after lara had already left for school he told me that there would be practice that afternoon. lara had no idea so i ran up to the school (mind you i am home sick with a horrible head cold) and told the man at the front desk that this was my daughter's stuff and she does not know that i am dropping it off and it needs to be given directly to her. he said he would take care of it. so i get a phone call from lara on her cell phone.......telling me she was coming home on the school bus that she found out she had practice but didn't have her bag of stuff so she was coming home. i told her i dropped it off at school.........mind you she needed everything for a softball game tuesday night for her recreational team. i then called the school and the secretary was kind of enough to look into it. the stupid man brought it to the gym and put it in the gym teachers office. didn't even put a note on it as to what it was or who it was for. i had to get out of bed, get dressed and drive up to the school to pick up her bag. believe me the man at the front desk got an earful from me. so lara missed her first practice due to the stupidity of the school personnel. it won't happen again because i now know when her practices are and she will have her stuff with her when she goes to school those days. argh. |

this really has been her year so far.
she was also invited today to participate in the 7th grade task force. she was given an invitation for lunch today and she went. she had no idea what it was. she and 6 other 7th graders were invited to have a monthly lunch with the counselor and the principal and talk over what things need to be fixed or what things work well in the school. what an honor. first the softball team for the school and now this. and so far this first marking period she has straight As. i am so proud of her. she has come a long way. i think sending her to 4 weeks of sleep away camp this summer really boosted her self esteem.
