    My Poor Talon (x-post)

So Scot noticed yesterday that Talon's right collarbone looked like it was bulging and his shoulder looked a little swollen. I was going to take him to the ER but I called the Ped first and since he wasn't in pain they said to wait and bring him in today. I did and she sent me to the ER which I thought would happen. SO we go and get an x-ray, we thought it may be dislocated but it turns out he had an old fracture, maybe from birth, definitelt very old, which never healed properly. So now we have to go see an Orthopedic Surgeon, I already found the one I want at CHOP. I just hope I can get in and he takes our Insurance, our old Insurance expires in amonth and we will get Medicaid for the kids since Scot is in school.

The think since he is growing that is why the bone is protruding now and why we never noticed before. He has no problem using his arm which is odd. I just hope he isn't affected by this. I actually have a mild case of cerebral palsy, I had to go to therapy to learn to walk when I was a baby and I can't maintain running but it doesn't really affect my life. It was never really focused upon when I was growing up so I never focused on it. He has had a rough start with the cleft palate and now this, it just makes me love him even more though.

    Our little miracle:
    http://chanceian.blogspot.com/

Each day as I watch you struggle I am reminded to find joy in the little things, to stop and smell the flowers, and that some things are more important than material things. Your smile melts my heart, and takes the chronic pain away, if only for a fleeting moment. Thank you for the joy that you bring, my son.
