I took my son Nico to his routine PT appt and the therapist noticed that one leg is larger in width (fatter) than the other, and that this was something new. She said that I should get it checked out. I took him the the pedi right after. He did notice the difference, and given their premature history (25 weeker, triplet brother died of liver failure), he said that a blood test was needed. His results are normal. He said that an xray would not show anything and that just to keep an eye on it. Has anyone ever seen this? or can shed some light? I just want to make sure that nothing is missed if there is a problem. He had his RSV shot a few weeks ago and I am not sure if that could have caused this? (can' remember which leg it was give, so I called the Pedi to find out)
I hope to hear responses.
