For those of you whose child watches TV, what is their favorite TV show(s)? Do you like to watch it too, do you tolerate it, or is it like nails on a chalkboard for you?
We are TV junkies and I'm not ashamed to say it, lol. Annaliese has a few favorite shows including Dora and Diego but her VERY favorite is the Backyardigans. And to be honest, DH and I like watching all three shows, lol. She also loves her Baby Einstein DVD's but nothing keeps her attention like the Backyardigans, it's like magic. I'm sure I've mentioned that DD is very clingy and just wants to be loved on every waking minute so the her "TV time" gives mommy or daddy a bathroom break and a chance to grab a sandwich. She has always loved the TV and we laughed because when she was going through her colic stage, she loved watching the Star Wars movies. At that time, that was the only thing that would get her to stop crying. And DH loved it because he is a Star Wars and Star Trek nut.
DH is hoping and praying that nobody introduces Barney to her because he cannot stand Barney and it will be like torture for him but from what I have seen, Barney is very educational in teaching them how to clean up, tie their shoes and stuff like that.
So, after my novel, I'd love to hear from all of you.

Yo Gabba Gabba.
It's ok. I can't get over how the characters look like adult toys. And some of the songs are really bad... like almost no tune and rambling lyrics. But I can deal with it.
I will take that over Barney or Teletubbies any day.
He also likes Elmo, but only watches it on the DVD player in the car.

My DH doesn't like Elmo just like he doesn't like Barney but I told him too bad! I love Sesame Street and when she gets older I'm going to try to get her to watch it. It's very educational and I hope she likes it. I will admit, Elmo is not my favorite character, but that's ok.

Dd is 7 and she has a variety of favorites. Hannah Montana, Grossology (a gross cartoon lol), and Bindi the jungle girl (I really approve of Bindi!!!). She used to like zaboomafoo, but has ditched that for Bindi (lol). When she was younger she liked Dora.

I despise Yo Gabba Gabba...and thank heavens DS thinks that they are creepy! LOL...
He loves Dora and Mickey Mouse. Sometimes he will watch Blue's Clues. He does not really get much tv time because he is in school all day...he gets to watch Mickey while we are getting ready in the mornings and he watches Dora for 15 minutes at night (he wants it off at 6:15).IVF/ICSI #1 Chance Ian:4-5-06
Our little miracle:
http://chanceian.blogspot.com/
Each day as I watch you struggle I am reminded to find joy in the little things, to stop and smell the flowers, and that some things are more important than material things. Your smile melts my heart, and takes the chronic pain away, if only for a fleeting moment. Thank you for the joy that you bring, my son.
