So sorry to hear that you lost your uterus.
I also had severe postpartum hemorrhage and needed blood transfusions, but I didn't have to have the surgery. I guess they were able to stop it in time. It was still pretty traumatic. My poor DH thought I was going to die right there in the delivery room.
HUGS.

Thanks Janice for the hugs, I'll take them. My husband was a wreck the whole 5 hours I was in surgery. I don't normally offer up that story, because it's scary to hear and still difficult for me to think about (for months I had post traumatic stress). But my point is that, while multiple pregnancies are more common and easy for most people, it's important to remember that the risks are higher.
I am so happy that your experience turned out good

I had mine at 36 weeks and 6 days. Vaginal delivery for both. Baby A was head down (6lb 2 oz and 20 inches), and Baby B was delivered via breech extraction 5 minutes later (5lb 13oz and 20.25 inches). I didn't even realize that they were extracting Baby B. They just told me to keep pushing. I'm sure the doctors told me before I started pushing for Baby A, but I obviously didn't realize what he was saying. All turned out perfect. No complications (just a little jaundice) and no NICU stays. No bed-rest either. I did have a ton of contractions but never consistent. But I had them early on, and a often. I guess just Braxton Hicks. All stories are different, but they end up with the precious miracles in your arms. It's truly amazing.

I delivered my twins at 33weeks, 6 days via c-section because they were both breech. Around 24 weeks I started having regular Braxton Hicks which I was told was normal with a twin pregnancy. My cervix started shortening and dilating around 27 weeks and I also tested positive for the FFN test at 27 weeks, so I received the steroid shots to help with their lungs. At 30 weeks, I was put on modified bedrest ~ I was allowed to continue working since I could work from home but was told to only take stairs once a day and stay down as much as possible. I stopped working at 32 weeks because of the all the doctor appointments I was having. The day I delivered, I was scheduled for an ultrasound, regular OB appointment and NST at the hospital. That morning, the Braxton Hicks were more painful than usual, and accompanied by back pain and a lot of pressure. I made it through the ultrasound and OB appointment, but still had 90 minutes before my NST appointment. I was sitting in my OB's office telling him "hold on, having another contraction" when he told me not to wait for my appointment and to head straight over to L&D for monitoring. When they checked me there, I was 4cm dilated and within an hour I was walking to the OR for a c-section. It was a whirlwind day to say the least! Baby A (girl) weighed 4 lbs 6 oz and was 17 inches long ~ Baby B (boy) weighed 3 lbs 12 oz and was 16 3/4 inches long. Both babies spent 24 days in the NICU and came home at the same time. We've been home 3 days and while we're all still adjusting to the new normal, I wouldn't change it for the world. Good luck and congratulations!

I delivered at 36w6d due to preeclampsia. I had a csection because of it but was planning on a csection at 39wks anyway cuz I was terrified of delivering one baby vaginally & one by csection. Christopher was "grunting" so was in the nicu for 36hrs for a little oxygen & observation. They both did great...I on the other hand hemmoraged a few hrs after delivery & also had the spinal headaches. The babies were basically released from the hospital before me because of my complications & dh being out of town for the next 5wks
but they stayed in a few extra days with me
Good luck & keep everyone posted on your pregnancy & babies

I was induced at 1 day shy of 39weeks, because the doctor I wanted to deliver was going on vacation the next week. So I couldn't wait for my due date. He was the only one that would let me try to deliver vaginally in the birthing room. Well, we ended up in the OR and doing a c-section, with another dr. LOL

My doc was so confident that I wouldn't go early & went on vacation. Sure enough, I needed to be delivered & was delivered by 2 docs I had never seen. One of them was a NEW doc & I was her first csection
It all went well though & I actually really liked both that delivered me.

I had my fraternal twin girls at 36 weeks 5 days and had a vaginal delivery. The girls were exactly 20 minutes apart and weighed 4 lbs. 15 oz. and 4 lbs. 14 oz. They did not spend any time in the NICU initially and we took them home 2 days later weighing a few ounces less than their birth weights each. At 4 days old, they ended up back in the NICU for low platelets for 2 days. This had nothing to do with them being born early -- I carry antibodies that destroy platelets which crossed the placenta in utero. They are both healthy and happy one year olds now!!

I had my girls a day shy of 38 weeks via c-section due to baby A being breech and refusing to budge. I was really hoping for a vaginal birth because the recovery time would have been so much easier but it wasn't meant to be and she was breech very early on and it didn't look like she was moving - unlike her twin sister. LOL I'm really glad I carried them as long as I was able to because they were relatively small because of some medications I take that can cause low birth weight and they were only 4.6 and 5.9 even at almost 38 weeks. I can't imagine how little they would have been a few weeks early. Remember the babies will arrive when they want and it has nothing to do with what you do
You can only do your BEST!!
