    Ttc after twins.

Hello everyone. I have twin boys that are 2 now and they were conceived with ivf- icsi.
I am trying again on my own naturally to see what happens over the next year or two.

Anyone have more children after multiples here? Please share experiences.

    Thank you,
    Zaworas

    Casey

I can't help you myself, but can share my friend's story a bit: she has 4 year old twin boys. They had their 3rd child (a daughter) when the boys were 2.5. She said it was more difficult having the one daughter than the two boys! (but I think that has more to do with her daughter's VERY outgoing personality than anything haha) Hmm not sure what other kind of info you're looking for...

My girls were conceived after a lap to remove endo, Clomid/HCG & IUI.

I got pg naturally when the girls were 2.5 years old. Sadly, I had a missed m/c at 10-weeks.

I conceived again 6-mos later.. again, naturally. Tragically, my son was stillborn at 32.5 weeks. It was a cord accident.

I tried desperately to get pg again after that... again, Clomid alone, Clomid/HCG/IUI... nothing. I even got the HOM talk at my last IUI as I had 8 follicles. I had ONE mature follie with the girls. My beta was less than 2 at 12dpiui.

My marriage ended after that & I have had no opportunity to ever try again. I have accepted the fact it will only be myself & my girlies. I feel sad about that still some days.

Good luck... we were given less than 2% chance of ever conceiving naturally & it happened twice. But, my only living children are my tx babies.

Wow thank you for sharing your stories. What we go through to have children is amazing and sad all at once. Then I work at an urgent care clinic and see many young girls come in pregnant and they don't even want to be. Sickens me.

I guess we will see what happens. Aunt flo came yesturday and I've been trying the last 3 months.

    Time will tell.

I have a quite different story. You can see my siggy for my IVF/ICSI and FET journey to get where I am. But, I have 5 kids who are all 5 and under. My oldest is a single. I had my first set of twins when he was just shy of 26 months. When those twins were 27 months, I had my second set. Life with this many littles has been interesting. It is a challenge for sure, but it is also a lot of fun and we are planning to have more. We are currently trying on our own, but we can't imagine it happening. We are planning to do wait till next spring to do our next FET. While we love our twins, we didn't really want to risk a third set within the same time frame. However, we would be happy to have another set just not quite a close together.

My twins were 16 months old when we became pg naturally. It was hard to keep after the twins and be pregnant, but it was done. Then the twins were just 2 when my singleton was born, it was crazy and fun at the same time. A little busy, but it got easier once the twins hit 3, and all three were walking. I really didn't do a whole lot or go anywhere. My biggest blessing was that they all took afternoon naps at the same time! It was a lovely thing and made the days easier. I found it easier to have the playroom/livingroom gated, then I could be busy with the baby and know exactly where the twins were. I have to say, that my singleton thought of more things to do then the twins put together! Having three that close together makes them almost a unit, there is nothing that the twins do that my singleton couldn't do. He thinks he is the same age! Its hard but easy at the same time. I had a 4 year break before my latest baby came, it was a lovely break. I am finding I love the 4 year gap, but really wouldn't change the 2 year gap. Huge bonus: napping at the same time! Good luck with the TTC!

My twins are now 3yr old. I have a 3rd child that is 11mon old. I like that they are close in age and they can learn from each other. It's been challenging at times. Especially during meal times. I find it hard to get in meals sometimes when they are eating and I have to nurse my 11mon old, or the twins are hungry or throw tantrums when I nurse. It can be overwhelming, but nevertheless.. rewarding! Good Luck!

Good Luck!! My twins were nearly 3 when I had my singleton. I stopped bcp when they were about 18 months. We were NOT trying, keeping track of anything at all;---and 11 months later I was pg naturally, at age 39. I found one baby easier than 2, for sure. We even potty trained the twins during my maternity leave. I would recommend a gap of at least 2.5 years after twins, but that is just me. Good luck.
