My girls are not big eaters. They do okay, they love most fruit especially raspberries and blueberries. They like bread, some meats, but veggies are an issue.
They like corn on/off the cob, and raw carrots. That seems to be the extent of it. Any suggestions as to how to get them to eat more veggies? Or is it just me being worried over nothing?

I didn't worry much because mine were still breastfeeding quite a bit. I gave them vitamins for a bit, then when we ran out, they started eating more foods. We haven't given vitamins since then. As people age their taste buds don't work as well. So little ones taste things as if they have a much stronger flavor than we do. You might try cooking the veggies a little longer so the flavor is not as strong.

never worried at all. we have diverse eaters here. baby has been eating salad since around 15 months old. kids like cold peas as snacks. i put garlic and a touch of oil on broccoli and a little margarine on mixed vegetables.
stew is a great way to get more veggies in kids/toddlers/babies. blend it to a fine consistency.g

My boys aren't that great of eaters, but I try not to worry too much because I know they will eventually grow into better eaters. I also notice that they will go through phases where they seem to not eat anything and then a week or so later they are eating everything. We are lucky enough that they both LOVE fruit and veggies, but aren't crazy about meats, so we worry about them not getting enough protein.
Is your ped concerned? Maybe ask what you could be doing? Maybe you could supplement with something?? We were asked to give them Carnation to help put on some extra lbs but it really didn't help that much...it only made them full and then they really didn't want to eat...so I wouldn't suggest that unless you do it right before bedtime.
Good luck!

Hide the veggies in something (like pureed carrots in the mac and cheese, or in spaghetti sauce or baked into muffins). This works well! Also my kids love the drinkable yogurts and you can make your own smoothies and blend fruits (and veggies) into those.

I used to add canned no salt added veggies to pretty much every casserole I made! They used to love pot pies, so I added a whole can to one and they ate it up! They were soft, so when the kids were younger I gave them the veggies alone with different "dips" when they were in their dipping stage.
I make veggies on the grill all the time (mainly broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and whatever else were have--wrapped in tin foil good, just add some butter, salt and pepper) and they like it....L informed me the other day that if you dip it in enough ranch dressing it just tastes like ranch and not so much like broccoli anymore!!

Thankfully I have no worries in the eating dept. While my twins are TINY PETITE (have never been on the chart) & should always be due to their genetics, they are & have always been fabulous eaters. They literally eat just about anything we offer them. Lots of fruits/veggies/meats/junk/etc...
I just don't know where all of it goes?

Advice on getting them to eat certain foods never helped me because my picky eater changes preferences daily. He will literally scarf down an entire thing of corn and then refuse it the next day and every day after until one day he likes it again.
Combined with if they are eating healthy I had to worry about them being underweight.
We started giving them pediasure after dinner before bed, chocolate or vanilla. They think of it like a dessert and it has everything they need. Since then they have finally gained weight!!! Even though it cost a fortune.Me:33 DH:38, married 7 years
