I'm sure you've thought at length about any possible ways to get help, but are there any support-type groups who may be able to help, possibly through the military? I would think anyone (your kids' friends moms, trusted neighbors, etc.) would be more than happy to help you out in any way they could. I don't even know you and I wish I could come help!

Please try not to get down on yourself because you're doing the absolute best you can under extremely difficult circumstances. Your kids will be fine - you won't be pregnant forever, although I'm sure it seems that way. I know you're a good mom and want to be 100% for your kids, but your inability to be active probably bothers you a lot more than it does them.

Also, I'm pg with a singleton who has a 2-vessel cord too. It's usually not a big deal, although I was freaked at first too. I guess it's more common w/ multiples but still usually not a big deal. Your babies are going to take all they need from your body; it's really you who's suffering physically. I know they're small and your doctor is harassing you about it, but you're doing what you can. And don't ever hesitate to call your doctor - bug them all you want!

Hang in there and be nice to yourself! You're doing great.

I think it is important to keep checking with that pump. You may have to call your insurance to get things moving.

I had pretty bad morning sickness (though not what you are experiencing) and I had a tough time keeping anything down from week 6-15 or so. I actually lost 22 pounds (I was overweight), but I got lecture after lecture about my weight loss. I tried so hard to keep eating and drinking my protein shakes. At 20 weeks, they thought that I had TTTS, and I worked very hard to get more protein shakes in me. But everything turned out okay. It is just really hard...

    Sweetie,
That all sucks. I would suggest that you continue to bug the doctor about the pump. With my twin pg I only gained 28 lbs total. I wasn't terribly sick with them. This pg (singleton) I have found that my appetite has certainly been affected by my nausea. The first 2 months I lost 10 lbs. I have now gained 5 lbs back and this is almost 17 weeks into.

I had some severe vomiting in the beginning but this has subsided thankfully. As for your kids is there any possible way that you may be able to sent them to some sort of day camp - even for a week.

Good luck with everything, and remember that doctors don't know everything. My twins were born at 37 wks 5 days with scheduled c-section and even with my small weight gain were 4lbs 14 oz and 5lbs 7oz. Don't worry about anything yet.

    Hi you guys,
I so appreciate all the kind words. After a overnight stay in the hospital from dehydration I have a reglan pump now. I believe it was Wednesday afternoon when I got it and I think since then I have only threw up 2 times which is AWESOME! and they make me weigh daily I think so far I have put on about a pound maybe just a tad under but that's great for me! It makes me feel better all ready. The reglan kills my energy but I'll deal with that as long as the babies get everything they need. I go to the Dr on 7/16 and I will get them to weigh me and see how much I have put on in the last 2 weeks. I'll update after that appt!

I'm sorry that you got so dehydrated that you ended up with a hospital stay, but it ended in a good outcome, huh?! Congrats on gaining weight and I hope that everything looks up soon!! Take care of yourself and keep us updated!!
