Just have to vent a bit. My 2 yr old DS (a twin) is driving me nuts! I have a 4 yr old who never went through the terrible 2's, but that has to be what this is. He is sooooo overly sensitive. I could look at him wrong and he bawls. He has totally gotten to the independent stage of 'I do it myself'. Even in the morning when we don't have time!! Ugh!! I try to get up earlier and let him, but come on...we have to leave the house some time! He will constantly repeat the same question over and over, even though we answered it 10 times. His twin sister even gets annoyed by him! lol I can't wait for bedtime some nights! As my mom said, 'this too shall pass'.
Thanks...just had to vent!

Yep, I think all that is normal! My younger one (age 2!) is the same way....she says "I do it!!" constantly, and also repeats the same question...."where daddy go?" is her favorite. I tell her where dh is, she says "oh" and then in 2 minutes she says it again.....take a deep breath....give hime choices when feasible...and yes, it will pass, but it helps to vent too!

yes. dealing with this right now with the baby. if i use the wrong tone, have a slightly different voice he just breaks down and then cries for a while. no way to soothe him or stop him. doesn't want to be held, just wants to vent i guess. my oldest didn't do anything, my twins weren't like this either. my twin ds used to throw himself to the ground in frustration but he never just broke down and cried from an improper look from me.
it's like the baby's feelings get hurt so easily...... and i have little time and energy to use baby gloves with him. sorry for venting on your vent. hope it all passes for us soon.g

Have you considered letting him put his shirt on one day, his underwear the next day and so on. Let him put his pj's on at night. Tell him the night before, (in a very excited tone) "You get to put you shirt on tomorrow morning before we leave!"
It sounds like he needs a little extra lovies with the sensitivity issue. Can you try and give him 5 minutes of hugs and kisses for just him every hour that you are together? I can see that you have your hands full. If you can't devote 5 minutes to just him, maybe 3 minutes??
As for asking questions over and over, that is definitely an age thing. Have you tried asking him the same question a few minutes after he's asked it? Try and beat him to the punch?
Hang in there, girl. This time is really beautiful. They won't ever be this age again. Ever.
I encourage you to video tape all the stuff that is driving you crazy. You'll love it when he's older.
