How many of you have a March of Dimes team? How is the response usually in your area?

Our "local chapter" is about an hour away which isn't bad and the turn out was pretty good but I've found as I'm gearing up to gather ppl for my team more and more ppl that want to join and I feel so honored. I just wondered how the response was else where.

I don't have a March of Dimes team but we used to have a Cystic Fibrosis one (Great Strides) and I would feel the same way when people would join. We don't do it anymore b/c we do the Christmas Dinner one. It got to be too hard to see the "Walking in Memory of" t-shirts. I'd rather live with my head in the sand.

We walk in honor of DD (officially for fund raising purposes), but K is not far from my mind either. I don't have a team, but I have my page and we walk as a family. The turn out is pretty good, though the weather has been dreadful (it's April in WI). Last year we did not even finish it because of a rain of humangous proportions. Last year I raised less than the year before though - I bet it's the economy reflecting in people's giving. And no one ever asked to join us. This year I have been contemplaiting asking my SILs and MIL to join us, but I don't know about that yet.
