Dave has started manually accepting members to the site lately. I don't know if you can remember when you signed up or not, but one of the parts of membership was to write a little statement about why you wanted to be a member. Apparently, he's been getting some doozy answers...and wants to know how you feel about denying membership to some of the potential members.
An example of one he's wanting to exclude is:
Why do you want to use Fertilethoughts?
I want to post comments for seat covers for my sites.
So...how do you feel about Dave excluding membership for people with answers like that?

I wish this site was more private then it is currently. It would be nice to not have to worry about some "insensitive" person reading about things that are of a sensitive nature... also there are times I wonder about people getting their hands on some of the more potent fertility drugs (black market or whatever) and because sometimes we say we are taking such and such drug at such and such level for such and such days that people will use it even though they don't "need" to use it to get pregnant and are not being seen by a doctor. KWIM? I personally don't post how much I am taking of a drug for that reason alone on message boards.
However I am not sure how one would police that.Jennifer (36) - Final try FET Nov. 12, 2012. You can follow my story at: www.OurUnplannedLife.com (Caution child, child loss, and cancer mentioned in blog)

I have to say, I agree with the posts above.
I agree with Crystal: Yes, please, exclude spammers like that. I have to give her props for not joining and lying about why. Pretty ballsy to put it out front...I want to spam. But we still don't need spammers like that here.
And I agree with ladybugs: The things we post here are personal and intimate. I wouldn't want spammers here for that reason, either. I never thought about the drug level concern, but I could see it happening. I guess someone who does that would have to have their reasons, though.
And I'm always glad I'm not Dave. Tough calls to make. But this one...seems easy enough. Deny membership to known spammers. It'll just save time having to delete their posts and kick them off later.
