We moved!

For those of you who remember. We were in the process of moving. We had hoped to move out of state but our plans changed. We put a bid on a house at the end of Feb. and finally moved in April 30. That is why I have been MIA. This home was a forclosure so it took longer than the 30 days to close. We are moved in. It is our first home so we are happy.

My brother who had pnuemonia is now mostly recovered and mom is doing well. She never got too run down. Her feet did swell but I told her she needed to put her feet up and take it easy. She seems to do what I advise her to do.

Thanks everyone.

Congratulations on your first home!! It's a wonderful thing isn't it? Glad your family is on the mend, so now you can take care of unpacking.

I am getting used to be here in this house. I miss my old home even though I lived in a mobile home. Dh and I lived there almost 7 years. We needed to move because it had damage from hurricane Ivan. This sound silly but I feel like a new wife again. I have to trust my dh to fix things. When we rented, he fixed nothing. The landlord did all the repairs. Funny thing is that my dh is a mechanical engineer and his dad used to build houses. Dh know lots about home repair and I know that but I still find myself wondering if he really knows what he is doing.

Glad to see you back!

So is everything unpacked & put up? When we bought our home, I had everything put up the same night (I wouldn't go to bed until it was done...), because I HATE to live out of boxes. Isn't it exciting to finally have something to call your own? CONGRATS!

I'm glad that your Mom & brother are doing well....I'm sure that it is a big relief to your family.
